Good quality, looks nice
I'm not a believer in hundred dollar ligatures and these are well made and nice looking for a reasonable price. Recommended.

New Ligature Is Great
This Bonade alto sax Ligature is just what I needed. It improves my sound because it holds the reed snuggly in place. My other one was over 25 years old and it was tired. My reeds would slip down at times...Not good when you are playing a concert or solo! My only thing I had to get used to was the turn screws are on the left side and am right handed. My other one they were on the right. It's no problem now. Figured it's good exercise for my left hand! Yes, I know I can use my right hand, but I like a challenge. So there you have it!

Good Value
I've been using these for years. My son started in band this fall and wanted an "upside down" ligature. I got him one and he loves it. These are pretty good, reasonably sturdy and and reasonably priced. You can spend alot more but I'm not sure if any hold the reed alot tighter. I always preferred metal ligatures because they seem to move around less as I retune the instrument.

Purchased at the request of a music professor as a decently priced ligature for my secondary instrument. It arrived packaged very well within a plastic box, but was bent out of shape very badly, and I had to bend it back into shape over my mouthpiece. It is still very loose and does not stay in place well on the mouthpiece, hopefully a new mouthpiece will fix that issue.

Only one I could find to fit Morgan Excalibur mouthpiece
I bought this inexpensive ligature for a Morgan Excalibur hard rubber tenor mouthpiece. I had been using a very inferior ligature and simply could not find another one to fit. This mouthpiece is more narrow than most tenor pieces. The Bonade alto ligature works very well.

Much too small
I use a Bonade inverted ligature on my Bb clarinet and thought my son might want to try one on his alto saxophone. With the reed in place, the screws don't even reach the other side so there is no way to tighten this ligature, and this is on a standard Selmer C* alto mouthpiece. The ligature clearly says alto sax on it but it's way too small. I had purchased one for his tenor sax also and that one was even a little small.Update 5/18/14: I sent the ligatures back for exchange since this company does not provide refunds. I've submitted a picture of the replacement they sent. We noticed It was bent out of round right out of the box. I would guess this is someone else's returned item. It's such a hassle to pack things up and try yet again I may not. I don't recommend ordering from this company at all.

keeps reed flat to the mouthpiece
This ligature replaced one originally purchased in 1970 that one of the pressure bars had popped off of. This is an old and I believe well respected name in saxophone ligatures.

Inverted vs regular is a push pull thing. I personally prefer the push
I have never been a fan of expensive ligatures. I have used a bonade since the 80s and always end up coming back to it

Alto ligature is too small. Super tight.
I have a hard rubber alto saxophone mouthpiece (Ishimori Wood Stone Studio Deluxe) which is the size of a hard rubber Meyer or Selmer C*. Completely standard size for a hard rubber alto piece. The Bonade ligature (non inverted) is way too tight. The Bonade/LeBlanc company is obviously using standard length screws on this mouthpiece when they should have longer threads. Why? Because the folded piece of metal under the screws which sits on the Reed makes the ligature a bit fatter around the circumference of the mouthpiece. They are using standard ligature screws which are TOO SHORT. I managed to screw it in there but it took some twisting of the screws. Hopefully the ligature with stretch and it will be OK. But again, ligature is too small and screw threads are too short.
