This lock is garbage, don't waste your money.1. Installation instructions don't work. The battery cover is impossible to put on because the instructions tell you to screw the back plate to the metal bracket BEFORE you put the batteries in the compartment. Problem is that the counter screw to hold the battery door closed is located on the opposite side, therefore you have to leave the battery cover off.2. This "smart" lock can't tell the difference between the lock and unlock state. Example -- when I close the lock manually and then put in the unlock code, it tries to lock instead of unlock.3. You cant just program the code manually, you have to download a stupid app and register an account before it will let you do anything.4. There's no "reset to default" settings in the app.5. I will be returning this lock ASAP.

To operate smart lock remotely you have to email service to BUY a url to do this. Unreal.2. (See item one) Setup was a pain. There is a small rubber gasket, that must be centered. With a second person it’s not a big deal. But before my girlfriend got home I installed a new dishwasher during my “break” from installing the lock. New dishwasher took 35 minutes. I’m 2.5 hours in on the lock without a final resolution.3. (Maybe stop at item one?) Ruined my door. You must drill “high” holes to install this item. If it worked and was permanent, it wouldn’t be an issue. I’m literally going to buy a new door now. (Full disclosure that was going to happen soon, but the fact that I lock is forcing me to do it is not good)4. The app is absolutely horrible. I own an it company. We have built apps. After hours I can’t open the door from the outside.Good news, I’m getting a new door.

We want to put this lock on a door for our Airbnb. The instructions are ridiculous. It's almost like "what instructions?" There is a booklet with pictures on how to assemble, but the writing is so tiny you need to wear 2 pairs of glasses to see them. And then, there is this random "J" part that, without clear instructions you have no clue where to put it. YouTube was no help. Nothing on the internet search engines.Well, we decided on where to put it. Back in the box and then back to Amazon. I will buy something from a named company that will (hopefully) be easier to install.

We love this lock, I especially like the fact you can set it to lock automatically so you know when the door is shut the lock is engaged. The instructions are printed a little small and hard to see if you have anything less than very good vision. The video online is very helpful, we didn't discover it till it was pointed out for us from the very helpful support person. Speaking of support, I can't say enough good things about them, they get back to you very quickly and are very patient walking you through the installation. The lock itself is very stylish, I love the blue background. I would most definitely buy it again.

The first thing that this smart lock that caught my attention was the appearance, it looks very advance. Plus, I really do need all the features that it includes. I tend to second guess or just forget my doors, with this smart lock it can auto lock after a set amount of time, which is really useful. To set up the password is also very easy to do. It’s thoughtful for them to include a traditional key hole for instances where you forget the passcode. The app that goes along with the smart lock is also extremely helpful. It can record and keep in track of who has gone through the door which can be helpful. The smart lock also comes with a piece of paper that guides where to and how large your holes should be. You don’t need to worry about not knowing how to install it. This is really thoughtful addition.

IT WORKS SO WELL. I got this unit on sale and for some reason the Bluetooth was defective. So I messaged the seller through amazon and he sent me a another unit that day! NOW ITS WORKING JUST LIKE IT SHOULD. I can set passcodes from my couch lol. If I walk up to the door with the app open and press anywhere on the keypad it will unlock the door. It’s amazing. I plan on buying the gateway for $40 so I can do it remotely. I did not get paid for this review and pictures will show i recieved a replacement unit. The only downside is if you set the auto lock too short and leave the door open it will lock and smack the frame. Happened several times so I extended the lock to 1 min. It has yet to malfunction in the two weeks I had it. My dad loves it cause he can get in without needing a key I just send him a 24 hour key. Flawless product for $140 dollars. The Bluetooth was a bit irritating but the new product fixed the issue. Thank you to the manufactors and sellers for the replacement with no hassle. I’ll be buying a second unit for my back door. Installation is a bit rough but a couple things I learned.1. The deadbolt will fit traditional 70mm holes. Just twist the bolt and extend and lock back in place.2. There’s a brass rod that screws into the top of the keypad back that goes through the tiny hole up top to secure it to the door. Put the screw through the faceplate and I screw into the rod. Directions are not clear on this.3. Watch the YouTube video. It’s 10 mins of easy help.4. Check orientation of silver rod AND back of inside plate. Just read the directions every step of the way.100% great product.Update: May 2020: still working exactly how it should and it still has 70% battery left! Super impressed by this thing! I’ll buy from this company again.
