An unbelievable value!
First of all, good news: this is an authentic product, brand new, never used.Second, great news: the package includes female QD connector with a short piece of tube, allowing you to retrofit this tube to your old bladder. Said connector is indeed the Source's famous one, the one that shuts down water when male is disconnected.Lastly, (somewhat) bad news: the inner tube is much softer than the one that comes with WXP, which means high probability of flow restricting kinks.

High Quality
A perfect fit with my existing Source gear. Good as a replacement, or to experiment with splicing an in-line or gravity filter

Product is exactly whats in the picture.
Not compatible with other source hydration accessories. No you can't use the universal adaptor and you can't use a bite valve. The advantage of this is there is one less point where the mechanism can fail

Quality.
This was exactly what I needed to fox my hydration pouch. I used these when I was in USMC and I still think it's one of the best products in the class. I have used many different types over my 14 years of service, and this one I have found to be most durable and solid.

It immediately became my favorite of the bunch
I've been through a myriad of water bladders and hoses from different manufacturers. I recently purchased the source low profile bladder, which came with the insulated hose and storm valve. It immediately became my favorite of the bunch. The wrapped tube makes a clear difference in temperature on the first sip. In 80 degree weather, the water in the hose stayed cooler than the water in the bladder. I'm looking forward to not spitting out hot water during our louisiana summers.Even better is the storm valve. This is my first NON-bite option, and it's great. Easy push/pull operation. Turns and clicks to lock. Comes with a dirt cover. The flow is amazing. As soon as the valve is opened, water starts coming out. Even before you begin to suck. The hard plastic takes a little getting used to over the softer bite valves, but the ease of drinking makes it easy to adjust to.I liked it so much, i ordered this replacement tube as a backup and to keep my girlfriend from drinking all my water (she also prefers the storm valve over her camelbak). The source quick connect will snap securely into my camelbak and geigerrig bladders as well. The only downside to this particular item is that there is no quick connect on the valve end. The hose that came with the source bladder had quick connects on both ends, which allows the use of source's ingenious Universal tube adapter for filling through the hose. However, at this price it isn't a big deal to order a separate quick connect and add it in.Highly recommend the storm valve and insulated hose. Best price is here on amazon.

Bought 2...Both leaked!
I like the design of this valve/tube set, but unfortunately, it leaks. I requested instructions to fix the leak in the bite valve, but I was instructed to return the 1st and get another. So, I did that. The 2nd leaks just the same. With the 1stbi was out on a hike and the drip made me looks like I was sweating like a pig and like I had peed in my pants... Not pleasant. With the 2nd I tested it in my house. The leak is between 1-2 ounces per hour.I hike with my water bladder on top of my pack. So, with the gravity push, I am probably getting more of a leak than some might. But for me, any leak is unacceptable.

Super anoying to use
After having used the tube with the regular soft bite drinking valve for around 10 years, which this package doesn't bring, I can effectively that this one sucks hard (no pun intended). It is super uncomfortable to use, and I find myself getting wet, or losing water, due to leaving the valve incorrectly closed. I get it, it is way cheaper than the regular one, but honestly, I wouldn't had bought it if I knew...So do yourself a favor, look for a tube with the soft bite one, or just go to the manufacturers website, and purchase it there.Other than that, it's OK. Well, closer to bad than to good...
