Deep little sounds generator scratch pad.
Compact, superb sound, fairly priced - throw in travel pack with ear buds and get busy!

Just not happy with Modal Electronics' synths.
Some time ago, I discovered and bought a Modal Electronics Craft Synth 2.0. I was ecstatic to have a hardware wavetable synthesizer among the various subtractive synths and FM synth that I own. After a couple of days, I ordered this Skulpt, having enjoyed the Craft Synth 2.0. Literally a couple of days later, the CS 2.0 started acting up. It's LFO's wouldn't work, the sequencer would get buggy, and when it's firmware started crashing, I had enough. I sent it back and tried to cancel the order for this Skulpt but was unable to.I decided to give the Skulpt a chance when I got it. Sad to report history is repeating itself. The first couple days, the Skulpt worked great and I was enjoying having the flexibility of subtractive and FM synthesis along with ring modulation in one package. The LFOs in the Skulpt have worked great for me as well. When I started toying with the sequencer, things started going awry. The synth would act as if I was accessing it's mod slots, and it would frequently flash it's LEDs at me. Reading the manual and watching tutorials on the internet didn't help. So I once again connected to my tablet to use the free app, and.....Firmware crash.I've had it. I'm sending this back too (huge Kudos to Amazon's return service!!) and I will never buy a Modal Electronics product again. While most of my current synths are analog (both completely analog and digital control-analog) I do have a couple of digital synths and have owned other digital synths in the past. Never have I had issues of this manner with a synthesizer. Ever.I commend Modal Electronics for trying to sell such feature packed synthesizers at a very competitive price, but I feel they've simply cut too many corners on quality to get the synths sold. I cannot recommend any of their products based on my experiences.
