It fit!
I was hesitant to order this because several reviews said they had to heat and bend it to make it fit. The one I got fit perfectly right out of the box. There was some talk of using old stock from a different manufacturer but maybe those have all been sold and the new ones are made correctly and fit. It probably won't last as long as the real Toyota part, but I can buy 5 of these for the price of one Toyota. I did take the advice of some other reviewers and bought real Toyota gaskets instead of using the ones supplied.

Seems to be a viable OEM alternative, but needs work.
I used this down pipe in conjunction with the 2nd catalytic converter (Magnaflow 23622) on my 1997 FZJ80. The overall package was about 3/8" shorter than the OEM unit it replaced. You will need to get your own hardware (I used 7/16" Zinc coated grade2 hardware x 1.5" long, with washers, lock washer and hex nuts x4) to get the unit hooked up as I did. I was able to reuse the stock exhaust studs on the exhaust manifold. Once the install was complete, I had to remove the entire system, and chase the forward O2 bung recess, as adherent weld splatter from the factory, was preventing the O2 sensor from seating into the bung all the way. I also needed to grind down the exhaust pipe that protruded from the tailpipe flange, as the Magnaflow cat (23622) would not bolt up and accommodate it. Additional O2 sensor bung hardware was needed and not provided, as the old hardware was toasted, and a different size as I recall. New gaskets were included, but seem to be of a lower quality than OEM Toyota. We will see if the mounts can stand the extra tension from the shorter overall length… I am expecting to need to do more work in the future as mounts fail. The MF Y-pipe is however much less restrictive than the stock unit, hopefully no check engine codes or other issues are in my immediate future. Time will tell if this stays a 3 star review, improves, or worsens to something lower. Right now, with a little work, it seems a decent alternative to the stock system which is at least twice the price of this unit.

Good part, requires some tweaking to fit
I installed this part in a 97 LX450 over the weekend. The part is made of a high-quality thick gauge stainless steel that looks like it is welded by a robot, or at least a professional. The y-pipe joint design seems to be more sturdy than stock. The catalyst material seemed to be not as long as stock, but appears operational. Like other reviews warn, the attachments to the exhaust manifold were about 1/2" too close. Using a vice, a board, and a crow bar I was able to separate them to fit relatively easily. I would not recommend this as a DIY job unless you know what you're doing and have a reasonable set of tools. For example, I needed to clean the threads on the manifold/downpipe threads. The down pipe bolts/studs would not budge unless the manifold was at full operating temperature. All hardware needed to be replaced (M10 1.25 studs are not easy to find). Access was much easier with the vehicle jacked up about 2 feet higher.

Major figment issues, Bosal in disguise as magnaflow.
My downpipe showed up and didn't look like the picture. I called magnaflow and gave them the part number stamped on the first cat. Apparently magnaflow bought out Bosal, and the Rep from magnaflow told me that "it meets the same standard as the magnaflow equivalent" , but it looks like a Bosal, which was noted on mud to have figment issues. The Rep told me it is the same steel and manufacturing as the magnaflow.Well, I went to install it and the two flanges didn't even come close to lining up with the exhaust manifolds. I had to pull it off and rig a contraption with slings and a come-a-long to basically widen the "Y" on the downpipe.I would've just sent it back, but I was committed to installing this thing and driving home from my shop. Was able to bend it open about 3/4", and was able to install. Time will tell if this holds up.Also, gaskets did not come with down pipe, as advertised. The amazon seller did what they could to try and help me after Magnaflow did nothing. This seller credited me back some of the cost, so they essentially made no profit on it. They would have given me full refund had it not been installed and ran.Just to be clear, I blame Magnaflow fully, not this vendor.

Buy two because you will need it soon enough.
I had a custom exhaust built for my 80 series land cruiser not 2 years ago, He used MAGNAFLOW cat Convertor 23120 and MAGNAFLOW Muffler both stainless both failed to the point of leaking in less than a year, and the Catalytic Convertor completly broke in two in under two years. Theres an entire video on youtube under JAILBREAK OVERLANDER watch before you buy.

It fit perfectly and bolted up with no clearance issues at all.

Once that was fixed it works great.
Weld was missing on both sides of the Cat. Had to have it welded up. Once that was fixed it works great.

Direct fit 1995-97 Land Cruiser / Lexus LX 450
No flaws, Looks better than OEM and direct fit. I paid a muffler shop to install it for me for 200 bucks but it can be installed personally also, if there is no rusted bolts.
