I bought this tent because of its ventilation properties. I bought it for my dog to keep him cool at the beach. By the end of the day he didn’t want to leave the tent because the shade was so good and it didn’t get hot.HOWEVER...The directions are not very clear on how to fold it back up. It showed photos that had a woman twisting and the tent just didn’t do what was being asked easily. I was alone and asked three men to assist me to fold it up and they could not figure it out. It was unclear if the plastic pieces snap in our out and how to fold it in half. When the tent is packed up it is almost spring loaded and can definitely hurt someone standing too close. USE CAUTION.After 45 minutes of struggling with this tent, I was able to fold it in half but not in the circle so it could fit back in the bag. I was afraid of damaging it or snapping it. I dragged it and out it in my car unfolded. I’d like to ask the company to provide me proper instructions or a video on how to properly and safely close it up.

This is an Amazon CHOICE product???? I choose these because they usually are just the best deals and the best quality. This tent set up easily. But the take-down and pack away instructions were impossible to follow. I spent an hour of my four-day vacation time in a total embarrassment in front of many onlookers on the beach. I am a 65-years old with 70-plus friends who has camped for years and never ever had such a stressful end to my day. I had to carry the unfolded tent to a friend's car and then try to put it in the back of her small SUV .... trying my best not to scratch the inside of her vehicle. I really can't imagine how I'm going to return this to Amazon as even the video that is printed in the instructions is not available for viewing. I leave tomorrow to return home and I don't know how I'm going to get this tent in my other friend's vehicle. I can only imagine putting it in a trash bag here and having my 73-year old friend take it to the UPS store to return ....but REALLY??????? Please take my advice and remove this item from your AMAZON CHOICES.

The tent is larger than what it looks like in the pictures. Very spacious inside that at least two adults can lie inside! Also it’s very easy to get the tent folded up into a small package.

I absolutely love the sun canopy tent. So much so that I bought a second one for my daughter. Setting it up was so easy by just disconnecting the white caps and the black caps and it opens in three seconds. But let me tell you when it comes to folding it up, If you are trying to follow the directions on how to fold it, you’re going to need a lot of wine and more patience than we are all born with. You can forget the directions that come with it and you can also forget the video that is posted. Neither one of those are worth two seconds of your time. Before we headed out to the beach we did a practice run in the front yard just to make sure we knew exactly what we were doing. Thank God we did because that particular night we were not able to close it at all and fold it back into the bag. The next day I had to seek additional help and we found a very creative way to wrap it back up into the closed position by first laying the whole thing on the ground flat. Someone has to stand on one end of it careful enough not to break it while the other person brings the bottom end around in the shape of a cursive letter “e” so that when you are finished you have one loop over another making sure the piece closest to the ground is small. You have to be sure not to break it. Once you wrap it you have to connect the white to the white and the black to the black. Once you get the thick elastic band around the entire thing it easily slips back into the carry case like a charm. When we finally went to the beach the next day please set this up like a pro and enjoyed it even so it got rather windy toward the end of the day. The sandbags are a great asset and we used the silver stakes to hold it down additionally. It even got hit pretty hard by some boys playing football on the beach but it never affected the stability or quality of the tent. I think that was a pretty good test. When it came time to take it down I took a deep breath and practiced what we did at home and to my surprise we got a round of applause by people on the beach. They were amazed that we took it down and wrapped it up in less than three minutes. Of course I felt a little bit proud and happy because five minutes earlier another man carried his off on his back. He couldn’t close his at all. So my recommendation is to definitely buy the tent for the convenience and quality and Protection from sun and wind. Just make sure you get your wine ready and practice the night before.

I have to first say that this is way bigger than I ever expected! Second, I thought that folding it back up was going to not only be very difficult, but take many many tries. But I watched the video and got it on the first try! It was so easy and quick! I have had to carry open tents back to my car in the past because I couldn’t get them folded back, but I won’t have to with this one! I haven’t gone to the beach yet ( I will be going in 4 days) so I can’t say yet how it does with wind and such. But will update after our trip to the beach!

Sorry to say this did not work for me. I purchased it to use at the beach for shade and it unfortunately did not provide any unless you wanted to try and sit in a small corner of it. It was also very hot to sit in it even with the mesh windows open. Perhaps if the windows on the sides were bigger it would provide more airflow. It's easy to setup but takes a bit of practice to get it back together. I would not recommend for the beach. Quality seems fine but only used it one day because of lack of providing shade.

So... we're a couple with two small kids (2 and 3 months), and we've been trying to make do with the small lay-down umbrellas we bought at the local shop until we had time to find a good alternative. We found this Venustas tent, and I've got to tell you, I was SKEPTICAL that it would do everything it claimed.I was wrong.The day we went to the beach with Venustas was the first day we could ALL relax and actually have fun at the beach. It sets up quickly, DOESN'T BLOW AWAY WITH EVERY LITTLE GUST, and made it possible for one of us to stay with the baby and actually ENJOY her, while the other could play with the toddler. You won't be sorry.I can't speak to its durability yet, but I gave it 5 stars on that because it seems like it'll hold together well.

Fantastic buy. Looking for a beach tent and it was perfect. Set up and take down was pretty easy and it withstood a windy day at the beach.
