ST3677R Rear Motor Guard for Traxxas Cars and Trucks (Red)

Still using this product. Have it on 4 of my drag cars

I'll try to make this short, yet informative.Fit and finish was nice, everything bolted in easily and it looked awesome. The threaded spacer rods needed Loctite in order to keep the screws in, which is no big deal since I'm a mechanic and can find some within a 10ft radius of me at any given time.I do not recommend this if you're planning on using a wheelie bar or bashing with it, at all. I bought this to replace the plastic Traxxas factory motor cover on my Rustler VXL, thinking that it may solve the "grass catcher" issue that the Traxxas part is plagued with. It did not. In fact, it was worse due to the fact that this part would bend down below the skid plate just the same, only with aluminum you don't have the flexibility to push it back into position. The upper wheelie bar mounts are a bit flimsy also and bent inward toward the motor after one or two tumbles.I would like to make it clear that I had only run this part for two days, 30 minutes at a time roughly.Overall, if you're going for looks and styling, it's awesome.Durability however, not so much. Nice motor protection.Flipped maybe 20 times on asphalt end over end.Whellie bar wheel's were bent to hell,front bumper,slight bend but it would have been much worse if it was my motor/tranny was hitting the ground

They broke in 3 hard crashes, don't buy if a basher! Not for bashing, I'm sure it would be great for speed runs....
