This book might stir up some unexpected feelings in you—which might be a good thing.
Marie's energy is infectious and contagious. I derive a tremendous amount of inspiration from watching people walk the walk and from those who take on increasing challenges for their own lives. Marie lives this to the fullest, and walks the walk—she has, over the past decade and beyond, systematically brought rigor, play, and drive to her work in business and marketing, and continues to level up in everything that she does. She may not even know how many lives she touches because of what she has built. For me personally, I had a fascinating emotional journey and reaction while reading the book. I was hooked in the beginning and had a "hell yeah!" response. Like, YEAH, I can DO THIS. Then, for some reason I started to get angry in the middle—I don't know why; perhaps it's because I was starting to feel overwhelmed by how much work there is to do and how freaking hard it can be to overcome some of life's obstacles. There's something overwhelming, too, about reading so many journeys of success and feeling internally like "Well, shit, I don't have it figured out yet—look how many people have done so much with so little, so who the heck am I?"I think this is totally normal, to be honest, and I see that some of the other reviewers have experienced this as well. At the end of the day, making work in the world can be HARD, and full of doubts. So I put the book down for a few days—it had been a series of late nights with sick kids and slamming my head against a wall trying to figure out my latest business offering all the while working on a never-ending book proposal that's challenging me deeply on a regular basis—basically I wanted to chuck this book across the room.Figuring out what to do next is the work of a lifetime. And it can be excruciating, it can be hard, and it can be devastating, and it can be lonely.I found my way back to the book and kept reading bit by bit. I found reading a few pages a day was best—I read from 8pm-8:15pm, until I could barely keep my eyes open and fell asleep with the ideas. Consuming it this way was best; each idea or nugget filtered into my subconscious. Too much felt overwhelming, and I'm an ambitious lady. The thing is, adopting a belief like this might be easy for some people. And it might be really REALLY hard for other people. It's hard to take full ownership of your next steps in life, ESPECIALLY when you've been dealt a shit sandwich for cards. By the end of reading it, my husband asked me what I thought of the book and I said "You know, I really dig it. I needed this book in my life right now." I'm glad I bought it.WHO THIS BOOK IS FOR: Read this if you want to uplevel your belief systems and challenge yourself to grow. You must be willing to do some inner work and stay in the game when shit gets uncomfortable. Read it serially (bit by bit) if it gets overwhelming. If negative thoughts come up while reading, journal them and write them down: you might learn something new about yourself.WHO IT IS NOT FOR: If you're looking for an easy answer or a step-by-step solution, this isn't the book. This is about a bigger philosophical, mental, mindset shift and it takes guts. Sometimes adopting a new mindset can be like turning on a light switch. Other times it feels like re-doing the electrical wiring in your house, and can take longer to do. Both versions are worth it.I'd also say that this book might not be for you if you're really at the bottom of the barrel. It can be infuriating to hear that everything is figureoutable when you're getting knocked down by a bunch of waves—nothing feels great about having someone on the beach shout at you to keep going when you're getting slammed around in your first surf lesson. If your heart is broken or you're recovering from loss, or you're in a place where psychotherapy or deeper support is what's needed, I'd look first to books like Michael Singer's "Untethered Soul," Pema Chodron's "When Things Fall Apart," Parker Palmer's "Let Your Life Speak" or Viktor Frankl's "Man's Search For Meaning." Let yourself experience and process your heartbreak and hurt. Then, when you've found your way back to a more stable heart and a mind ready to grab onto the change you CAN make, and the things you CAN control, and you want a combination of ass-kicking to propel you in your leadership journey, check out this book. You need to find the right messenger for you. Sometimes we can't hear something until Judge Judy tells us (or, as Marie says in the book, it might take a new friend to say something other people have been telling you all along.) Marie's style is a match for my kind of business brain, and she's been a huge help in my journey, even though I don't think I've ever told her this yet. This book might stir up some feelings in you. That might be a good thing.

This book sparked a BIG change in my life!
Have you ever read a book that made you feel like it was written just for you to read at that specific moment in time? This book was that for me.I've been a fan of Marie’s for years now, so much so that I've recommended her work on my blog (WithCheryl.co) more than 10 times now. When I heard she had a new book coming out, I was SO excited and I knew I would likely love it, BUT what I didn’t expect was the shift it made in my life. You see, Everything is Figureoutable focuses around the idea that (as the title suggests) every problem can be solved … no matter what. And, right from the get-go, she calls the reader out on making excuses that this isn’t the case for their specific situation, which is one of the many things I loved about this book. While she is inspiring and encouraging throughout, she also (and sometimes more importantly) calls you out on your BS, doesn’t let you hide behind your excuses, and reminds you that there is only ONE thing that can truly get in your way … YOU.Marie helps you shift your mindset, thoughts, and beliefs from working against you to working for you, she teaches you how to embrace fear not run away from it, and (what wound up being the most impactful for me) she helps you define your dream and start on the path to actually achieve it.Now, I think I should explain that I didn’t go into this book expecting to set a NEW dream for myself, but by the end of this book, that’s exactly what happened. And, I think that shows you just how powerful Everything Is Figureaboutable is, as both a book and a philosophy. I mean, she helped me discover a dream I didn’t even know I had! How amazing is that?!It’s too early to share what exactly this book sparked for me because I’m taking things just one small step at a time, just like Marie told me too, BUT I will say this … Everything Is Figureoutable will be the reason for a big shift in my what my business, With Cheryl, offers sometime in 2020.In the meantime, I highly encourage you to pick up a copy of Everything Is Figureoutable for yourself now. And, as you work through the book, you MUST do all of of the exercises at the end of each chapter. I cannot encourage this enough. It might seem like a lot of work (and it is), but the work is necessary for you to get the most out of this book. Don’t cheat yourself. DO THE WORK.I’ll leave you with this … by the time I finished reading the last page of this book, I can honestly say my mindset has shifted about problems that come my way. I really do, deep down in my bones, believe that everything is figureoutable now—and because of that, I feel like I’m capable of so much more. AND, I know each of you are too.

Love this book
Was introduced to Marie Forleo when she was promoting her time genius program via nearly every podcast I listen to. As someone who struggles with time management and prioritizing big tasks over many small tasks but lives in a perpetual state of overwhelm, I rented the audio book. I liked it SO much that I ended up buying the audio book and the paper book so that I could do the exercises. Although some of the book seems like fake stories to back up her ideas, there are many good principles to be learned here. If you’re similar to myself or just looking for some general tips to improve your life, this is a great read!

Perfect Condition!
The book looks perfectly new. I loved that it was wrapped in plastic (not sure why...I guess the shiny, newness gave me all the feels). Also, loved the personal note from the seller.

Perfect gift to motivate your teen age daughters
I bought this book as a birthday present for my 21 year old daughter. She was feeling a little confused and perhaps demotivated to start her own small bakery. I think she really liked the book and together with the "Everything is figureoutable" hard wood sign that sits on her room desk she started her own business with her younger daughter and now both are somewhat learning to work together :-\ .. and both keep attending her classes at the University. It's worked for her thus far and may work for your kids too.

The flaw I found in the book does not reduce its Brilliance.
If you struggle with any severe to mild mental health issues, you sure can benefit from some of the exercises in the book, along with your treatment, which must include healing your traumas from childhood, instead of pretending they did not happen, as they “scar” our brains and minds, according to science, changing their structure and the way they work (you can search for the studies, I cannot put the links here). My point is: when Marie says in the book that suicidal people were perfectionists, is not that simple. For example: do you remember the great designer Alexander McQueen who killed himself at the peak of his career? Then years ago came to the public that he was sexually abused in his childhood by her sister’s husband. So, it is important for you that is struggling with mental health issues to make peace with the fact that it might be linked to childhood trauma (it might be, but it can also only be physical problems), and then you are broken. And there is nothing wrong with being broken.More specifically, your brain was broken by harsh life events. But now, as the survivor powerful adult you are, you can fix it. As Marie explains flawlessly in the book about neuroplasticity, it also applies to us, who had our brains damaged during childhood.I’ve been there, and I know how frustrating it can be when you are struggling with a broken brain, and you try to jump the gun applying some of the tools we find in books like EIF, with no success. But bear in mind: This book was not tailored for someone with a broken brain. It is like someone with a broken leg reading a book about how to start running, and wanting to force all that training into himself. It will do more damage than good, leading to frustration. So my lovely friends who suffer from mental health issues: filter! Try out the exercises in the book and stick with those that help you.Save the rest for later, because if you are taking charge of fixing your brain by changing habits such as adopting a ritual of mental higiene by validating what you feel (using your body because your mind is not working well), having a therapist to help you healing your past and preferably a functional doctor, it is just a matter of when you will be able to use the whole book in your life! But, before the temptation to skip your healing process and jump right into the exercises of the book, acknowledge your traumas. Make this book work with you not against.Check out Dr Martin Seligman work about the “Learned helplessness” that is linked to the cause of depression. Now, if you do not have a mental health issue: this book will be your life bible. So Practical. The exercise to get a letter from my 100 year old was game changing. Not just for me but to some of my students, who by the way, are in the healing process of depression and anxiety. The book is brilliant. Thanks Marie and team Forleo for all you do. Love you all

Very shallow in its core
Very shallowly written book. Inside the book you will find many things that have very little to do with the books title.

Very useful
I found this a very practical book to get to know what’s holding you back to make your dreams come true, all the content and the exercises takes you step by step to the process of self discovery and once you are clear, everything is figureoutable. Marie gives a lot of examples which makes the concepts she shares even clearer. She is for sure an example of her philosophy.
