Great refurbish, holds 6000+ songs
I've had this for about 3 months now. Please keep in mind, I am very gentle with my iPods. I generally keep it in the car unless it's too hot and bring it inside to charge or add music. It's not exposed to a lot of potential damage.Mine has been working well so far. Today was the first day I've had problems. I previously had a 3rd gen classic and a touch as a backup before I finally upgraded to this little guy, so I'm used to some of these problems. This one's screen stopped working all of a sudden, like mid-song, and I was concerned because that wasn't what my old one used to do. And since this is a refurbished item, it does have a gap between the body and the top piece so I was concerned. However, the typical fix of restarting it (menu+middle button, hold for about 8 seconds) fixed it just like it always would on my old one. So I remain happy with this product. I do wish the refurbishment was a little nicer, maybe seal the top and bottom pieces a bit better. But not a big issue. I'll probably get a case soon, mostly so I don't have to think about it.The weight and design of this one is very different from what I'm used to as well. Of course, since it holds a lot more data, I can forgive the heftyness. But I don't know why Apple felt the need to move the headphone jack. I know, minor nitpick, but it's incredibly annoying to me. Not the sellers fault, just a note on Apple's design. As far as space, I have 4 Lord of the Rings audiobooks, including the Hobbit, all the Harry Potter's, and a number of other books on here which take up quite a bit of space. Then, I have about 6,000 songs, with album art. I went a bit crazy when I realized I could have all the music I wanted. And this thing is only 1/3 full. I still have some more to load it up with but also a lot of stuff to take off so I don't think I'll ever fill it up. 160 (really 148.79, according to iTunes) gigs is a lot! But I'm happy, I like having the freedom to put as much music as I could ever possibly desire on one device.Overall, this is a great player. As long as you're a tiny bit tech savvy, it should work just fine for you. I'll keep this updated if anything changes!

I dunno, mine is great!
I often jokingly say that I plan to be buried with my iPod Classic. I use it constantly, for everything from meditation to hanging out, storing photos, etc. I have three now, having panicked when my first classic, now at least ten years old, started to seem to need recharging more often (yet is still going strong). I looked for and found several that were claimed to be "new," and finally bought one that seems fine and is still going strong, whether or not it is new. Recently, one of my two iPods started reporting a "corrupted hard drive" and "no music." I panicked again and ordered one from this seller, and it seems to be great, even if it is refurbished. However, it "feels" new, everything is tight, and the case, which may have been replaced, who knows, is perfect, and thus far the iPod works fine. Meanwhile, I have found out how to "fix" my iPod with the "corrupted hard drive" by running Disk First Aid on it on my Mac and fidding around with my iTunes program until it started to sync again just fine...and thus I now have three Classics and plan to be buried with them all. At 69, I suspect they will still be going strong, so I'd better leave two of them behind to deserving souls who will appreciate them.I am a diehard Apple fan. My first Apple was the Performa computer, and I collect old Macs, all the way back to the Quadra, and they all still work. Old Macs never die (if they're not abused), they just moulder in your closet when you run out of space for them. Whoever said "don't upgrade your iTunes" was probably right, and I don't upgrade past Mojave on my current Mac, because I have too many things that I like too much to let Apple force me to give up: Apple is greedy, and is constantly fixing what ain't broke, i.e., the iPod Classic, which is as good as it could possibly get IMO, so I look hard at so-called "improvements" to make sure I actually want them before upgrading. Meanwhile, with 160 gigs of storage, why would I want something else?

Ipod Classic 7th generation is excellent!!!!!
I was supposed to receive my order july 3rd...I got it YESTERDAY, 5 DAYS after ordering!!! i am absolutely estonished considering we are in covid times and deliveries are affected. Thank you amazon for getting me this item so fast all the way from the USA to Canada!! Had it before I could blink. The product isn't the lastest technology but I DON'T CARE . It's timeless. My last Ipod lasted over 13 years(not kidding, it died on me in 2020 and I purchased it in 2007)!!!!! I got the full value of the expensive purchase at the time. I for the likes of me, do not understand why Apple has discontinued making Ipod Classic. It is THE BEST mp3 player ever. The storage is amazing(160 go). I bring everything'all my music everywhere!! Listen to anything I feel like anytime!! It is easy to use and it's easy to find your music using the spin wheel Once in a while, I enjoy watch a favourite video on my ipod as I wait in places. It's a ittle bulky compared to other Mp3 players but if you excercise, I recommend getting an arm strap for it.It is exensive, I paid the price for the new 7th generation model BUT I really don't mind given the quality of this excellent mp3 layer tgat will surely last me another 13 years. All other mp3 players do the trick but don't compare.I am so pleased to have another Ipod. I'm hoping Apple will bring this back in a newer version.
