nice little unit but is it really not waterproof...lucky it's in a car
Not being waterproof is a bit odd but it's in my car so I don't care.I got one through my windscreen & one on my passenger side by the wheel so I can see where it is as I go past Kerbs..(anti car leftist council keeps building obstacles to stop cars & make us evil car & van drivers use bycycles despite me carrying boilers!!!)Only thing is it turns on then has so many icons & words in that little screen I have to tap loads of buttons just to be able to see the actual video...I don't even know what the words say just all over the screen...just say video then red light when recording then wifi I don't need the Welsh weather report...I like it though it's worked fine so far...in a car...

NOT THE LATEST VERSION
I am looking to buy a dual camera system for my bike and wanted to purchase this camera. It states in the advert it is the latest version but after further investigation and contacting Blueskysea directly this is NOT the latest version, the DV988 is and is fully waterproof. Blueskysea also say equally the B1M is the best quality if you do not want a screen. I am glad I checked as this is overpriced and not the best quality available at the price.

What is the perfect motorcycle dash cam system? (Spoiler alert - it's not this one).
I've been looking for a dual camera dash cam system to fit to my motorcycle for quite a while now.I thought this system might be it but, before I went ahead and purchased it, I did a little more digging around. Before I relate what I have discovered, here are my 'checklist' items for the perfect system:- dual 1080p cameras.- able to use large capacity microSD cards.- remote control to 'lock' video files when needed.- GPS capability (nice to have but not essential).- slimline camera mounts to make them as discreet as possible.- fully modular cables, including for remote control, GPS, power and both cameras. Now, you can't tell from this listing, because they don't show a full layout picture of everything in the kit, but I have seen the same item on eBay which DOES show everything, and the last checklist item is where this system falls short.ALL of the cables are fixed length except the remote control. That means that, on my bike, the rear camera, the power supply and the GPS antenna will ALL be VERY close to where the DVR unit will be positioned (under the pillion seat), BUT I will have to find a way of storing several metres of cable. So come on, you designers/makers of motorcycle dash camera systems, please realise that we don't all have huge touring machines with acres of fairings and large luggage systems where we can 'hide' unwanted cable. I know bikes are different styles, shapes, sizes etc. That's why you should be making the cables FULLY modular.
