OK Read
This is the story of Remy and Christina. Christina is scared of love after being humiliated due to her divorce which not only was a shock but was on all the news and tabloids for a while. Ben, her ex, lied about loving her, being straight, and he took all of her money. She meets Remy some time later and for one night he rocked her world and gave her the best sex of her life. He wants more, like a relationship. She ran. Lots of trust issues and baggage caused that.Time passes and Christina make dangerous business trips including to the Middle East for her company's oil company. Even when her brother (a SEAL) warns her of danger, even when the State Department has the country she travels to on the list of country's not to visit, off she goes anyway. And it becomes a war zone. HOT Seals ( including Remy) go in to extract US citizens and of course they find Christina.Remy is, as is the whole team, amazing. Christina is wishy washy and uncertain about love and Remy. He is such a patient man and very straight forward about what he wants. He knows her better than she knows herself. But her inability to allow herself to love hurts him deeply. The reader really does feel bad for him.The plot starts with the SEALs extracting the civilians and continues through the desert country to a successful rescue. There are exciting events, dangerous events, and some steam in the desert hide out. It was fairly predictable, but still well-written.Once home, Christina's ex is the new antagonist. He was harder to believe as a character than the Middle East country events. I think it was really the showdown with her ex was what made this book not one of my favorites. It was just lacking something from my point of view.

Predictable, good..
A good, entertaining story and conveyed very well. Likable characters and good dialogue. But it follows the same formula as all the rest in this series. (Where else can it go?). Start with a super macho military warrior of a man and a strong but feminine, beautiful woman who are attracted to each other. Add a kiss, and whoa!…electric tingles!... and a relationship begins. Fold in some drama, a dash of danger so the macho man can prove his worth. He saves the day and all is well. There were times when I got aggravated at the female character in this book...Christine. She’s a reserved, insecure mess struggling with low self-esteem; waffling back and forth and up and down. Full of excuses...wanting to explore her sexuality, then having reservations; doubting her femininity, and on it went. Yet she’s uncharacteristically strong in a man’s business world. I had to keep reminding myself just why she was so damaged; why she vowed to avoid relationships. Then she meets Remy, a super sexy SEAL. A man who treats her with kid gloves...patience, kindness and respect. One who sincerely cares about her. Yet she automatically categorizes him with cheaters and liars. This story is all about how they navigate through their issues while attempting to cultivate a relationship. I loved when Christine begins to shed her inhibitions that have been ingrained into her, and she begins to blossom and think for herself. Meanwhile, there’s drama a-brewin’ in the Middle East and they’re both in the big middle of it all. (If I wanna hear about that, I’ll turn on the news). Predictably good, but I think I’m done with this series.

Make Mine Steamy!
I've read and own all the other HOT books written by Miss Harris, so when I got a chance to receive an ARC, I was beyond excited. (It's kind of embarrassing how excited I was, actually.) If you're not familiar with the HOT books, you don't have to read them to understand HOT Seal Lover, but knowledge of other characters and plotlines lend an extra layer of depth that I love.I despise spoilers, so I'll do my best not to go there...I think this is one of my favorite books in the HOT universe, for a few reasons. For one, I've always wanted to know how Christina was doing, since we first met her way-back-when, in her brother's book. Second, I loved Remy. To me he's a realistic Hero, because sure, he's a SEAL, but he's also a pretty normal, down to earth guy. He isn't looking for a relationship, but he doesn't have any crazy psychological hang-ups that keep him from wanting one, either. Yes, he's got a major dose of guilt because he couldn't save his twin sister, but it doesn't hinder him relationship-wise. His situation feels very natural to me - any loving brother would feel the same, and as a relative of a victim of domestic abuse, you definitely carry a lot of guilt for not "seeing the warning signs". But Remy's patient and honest, and just the right type of person to give Christina stability, and a safe harbor when she needs one. He's also smart enough to realize he can't go completely Cave Man on her and expect her to be OK with that. Because of her high-profile family, she really needs someone who isn't interested in using her for her money or connections, and Remy is certainly that guy.I loved seeing characters from other books, especially Ian Black. What's he up to? Why is he there? It gives long-time readers their fix, keeping them wondering, while introducing him to new readers in a way that makes them think, "what's the big deal about this guy?" Very clever, and so much fun. (Kind of like seeing your favorite Marvel super hero in an Avengers' movie, and going all Fanboy. "Holy cow, what's he doing in THIS movie?!" So much fun.)If you've read any of Miss Harris' related HOT books, you're going to love this one, too. If you haven't, you're in for a treat. But only if you like your Heroes of the Military variety, your Heroines highly intelligent, plots that are complex and surprising, with a side order of crazy-steamy love scenes. All others need not apply.

HOT SEAL Lover
Loved this story of Remy and Christina. The attraction between these two sizzled while trying to escape the Middle East and after.

Although you'd enjoy it if you read the others its not necessary ...
This is the second book in the Hot Seal Team series, a spin of from the Hostile Operations Team. Although you'd enjoy it if you read the others its not necessary as this is a standalone with no cliffhanger ending. This is another awesome addition to the series. If you love romantic suspense you'll love this. I loved Remy and Christina's story. Lynn's writing is as good as ever, you won't be disappointed.Don't forget to read the others in the seriesHot Pursuit (Hostile Operations Team, #1)Hot Mess (Hostile Operations Team, #2)Hot Package (Hostile Operations Team, #3)Dangerously Hot (Hostile Operations Team, #4)Hot Shot (Hostile Operations Team, #5)Hot Rebel (Hostile Operations Team, #6)Hot Ice (Hostile Operations Team, #7)Hot and Bothered (Hostile Operations Team, #8)Hot Protector (Hostile Operations Team #9)Hot SEAL (HOT SEAL Team #1)

Good but female character is flat
I liked Remy, he is willing to do whatever it takes to win his woman. Christina is fresh from a messy breakup and doesn't trust her feelings so she backs off. Remy and his team have to save her from her foolish travel to a warring country. I didn't feel that Christina really had all that much sense. She goes where she shouldn't, she doesn't tell people when she could be in danger.

Amazing, couldn't put it down
Love this author, really love this series, seriously hot alpha men, doing their stuff and protecting their women. The fear, suspense, sexy activities, laughter and tears run through Lynn Raye Harris's series, and its always a wild ride on the journey that should not be missed. Settle down find the first book and work through them all, you will be a stranger to your family, you so get lost in the story, you also won't want to stop read I g, but you'll be so sad when you finish each story, waiting for the next is a form of torched, but the next is here, read, enjoy, review and tell your friends this series deserves the following.

Connection lost
I love the HOT series, look forward to see where Lynn will take us next. I loved Remy. But... I wasn't impressed by this book, it just didn't connect with me, well Remy & Christina didn't. I found the female Girard flat. The action as you'd expect from Lynn is there, the attention to detail in a war zone is there but I just couldn't get into any groove, it wasn't written to Lynn's best either.I just couldn't connect!
