Nikon COOLPIX W150 Orange

This camera was bought specifically for our 7 year old son, as a starter camera for a keen child photographer. He loves it, finding it easy to use, navigate the modes and editing menus. The camera has opened up his developing interest in photography further. He has taken some lovely images already. Really like the robustness of the camera too, and feel confident my son can enjoy it more, without having to worry about small knocks and drops, plus water.

We bought this for our granddaughter. Like most children (8) she's a whizz with technology and had shown grandpa how to use different functions on his identical model camers. She's taking seriously good pictures and videos with it.

This is a nice bright coloured camera which is easy to use for a point and shoot, but in these times of phones with 12 mp plus it is a hard area to get into. It pushes waterproof but if you were going to take pics underwater it would be at a depth to get anything interesting ands GoPro would get that market . So I would say it is ideal for the younger children 12 and below and then if they drop the camera in water it will be safe but older ones would still stick to phones in my opinion.

Nikon Camera at first glance is good-still to use-looking forward to better Spring and Summer Weather.

My 8 year old daughter uses this camera when we go out for walks. It is ideal for her. She can take photos or videos while walking without me worrying that she might drop and smash it. It is even waterproof, though we haven’t tested this aspect yet. It feels quite tough, much better quality than I was expecting for the price. I would say it’s more of a kids camera than for adults, but it is a great kids camera.

Camera arrived with instruction manual in Spanish, Greek and Czech... and with a charger with a European two pin plug. So I cannot charge it and my English speaking 9 yr old cannot read how to use it. Very disappointed as it was a birthday present. Nowhere is this made clear in the description from Amazon.co.uk. Useless item. *update* I can confirm that the camera is perfect for my 9 year old. I would give it 5 stars. I returned the European import to Amazon and ordered a UK version from Camera Centre UK, for the same price. They were brilliant as is the camera, very intuitive for a young child to use, she is over the moon and snapping away. Amazon still haven’t added into the description to say this is a European import, despite me asking for it to be made clear. Don’t pay for a useless item from Amazon, I recommend the Camera Centre UK!

WARNING The camera supplied by Amazon us European and not the UK version. It comes with a 2 pin Eurpean plug, and instructions in a variety of languages apart from English! Amazon sent me out a replacement - adding a not on to the warehouse to double check it is a UK version - and as a result I now have 2 European cameras which are useless for the christmas gift I was intending it for. I have managed to get one through Camera Centre UK , as recommended by someone else who reviewed this camera on here having had the same problem! Sadly I did not see the other ladies review until after I had placed my Amazon order. Camera Centre UK have been wonderful and reply to emails immediately. I now have the faff of returning these 2 cameras to Amazon to get my refund.

Fácil uso y muy cómoda

Buena cámara, perfecta para iniciarse, excelente calidad-precio, manejo fácil.

Ist seit 5 Jahren bei uns im Haushalt, hat 2 Kinder in den Bergen und im (!) Wasser (Meer und Seen) überstanden, wirklich ein tolles Gerät. Die Bilder sind zwar - natürlich angesichts des technischen Fortschritts bei Handies - schlechter als von modernen Smartphone-Kameras, aber die Kamera ist total einfach zu bedienen, hat ein paar nette Filter als Gimmicks für Kinder (zB neon, cartoon, etc.) und im Übrigen keinen überflüssigen Schnickschnack wie Spiele, mit denen neuerer Billigkram ja leider mittlerweile standardmäßig "ausgerüstet" ist. Schade, dass die Serie eingestellt zu sein scheint...
