do you have to have special film for your printer or can i use acetate?

You will definitely get best results in using our printer film as our inkjet printer film as an emulsion that gives you the more dense black that is needed and our laser film is a Positive FX laser film which Positive FX heat stable drafting film is an economical alternative to more expensive orthochromatic film positives for the creation of photopositives to expose IKONART photoresist films and emulsion. Although Positive FX is ideal for a variety of designs, a general guideline for line resolution is a minimum of 15 mils or .381 mm. Positive FX is NOT suited for halftones. Positive FX offers excellent toner retention keeping the black areas dense enough to block UV light during exposure processing.

Which printer is best to use? inkjet or laser printer?

I am interested in this product but not clear if the designs are pre-cut or would I be able to create designs then transfer to the vinyl sheets.

The finished Proucts is a screen transfer. You have to print in black on clear sheet the the light transfers it on reusable transfer sheet for hen you run under warm water to make the objet develope.
