AT6013a Dual-Action Anti-Static Record Cleaner

Excellent product and easy to use. It really helps get rid of static from the record surface.

Audio-Technica makes quality products. This record cleaner is small but high quality. It has a carbon brush and micro fiber pad for cleaning the records. Well worth the money.

I just bought my second one of these because after about four and a half years of daily use the bristles on my old one were starting to wear out, it still worked but I wanted a fresh one. This is SO much better than the cheaper ones with the handle that folds out; it’s way to easy to scratch your record with one of those, whereas it’s impossible to scratch your record with this brush. The bristles work great and the felt underneath helps gather any residual dust.

Excellent quality of sound.

This is a good innovation of combining a soft brush with velvet. Surely you can wipe the dust off the grooves of the vinyl records with this brush-velvet gear (AT6013a) but hardly any brash or velvet would be anti-static. On the positive side, the application of this Record Cleaner is quite easy and especially its weight is perfect (it needs minimum pressure)__ and as recommended on the box, "you can clean the brush and the velvet pad by the side of the metal guard). On the negative side, the user is warned to "hold the cleaner FIRMLY in order to avoid dropping it as this could damage the record's surface", nonetheless, a clumsy drop-disaster (from a very low height though) happened to me by mere accident and it scratched one of my best records--as a result, I used a piece of a strap (shown in the photo) as a holder that would ensure no such accident would happen again! *Anti-static test is very easy: tape one edge of a sheet of paper to the edge of your desk and let the paper hang freely. As a rule of thumb, if the hanging paper is attracted to the vinyl record that is brought near to it, that is the indication that the record is electrostatically charged. Now, apply any brush to your turning record, and repeat the experiment, and you'll see that it has not removed the static charges. In this regard, any anti-static might be nothing but just a snake oil which at least can wipe off the dust!

Very happy so far - the felt inner pad seems to remove more dust than just a simple carbon fiber brush. Hope I am able to keep the brush clean by following the instructions to scrape the dust off with the edge of the supplied holder after each use...

This brush is excellent and cleaning a record that is not on a turntable, but on a flat surface on top of a mat or something. When I have a record on The turntable and let it spin around to clean the record then sometimes the record slips. Otherwise, it’s a great brush, and I would buy it again.

Works good

Very effective at cleaning and static seems reduced too. Requires some artful wrist action to get it off the surface without leaving dust behind if a record is very dirty. So easy to use that I'm using it most of the time before I play a record.

It does a great job of removing the static and dust from my records. I particularly like the double brushes to do an extra deep clean
