Finally - some new ones!
I was thrilled with this book. No fluff - just what I wanted and in the form I needed it. These patterns are creative and not the same old ones I find. Of course there were a couple patterns I'd always wanted to learn and they were here! Although I'm over 50 and have been crocheting since I was single-digits old, there were a couple of stitches I hadn't come across. There were also several neat ways to connect the squares. I'm a visual learner and HIGHLY appreciate the instruction pictures as well as the coded diagrams. The simplicity, variety of patterns, very clear written instructions, awesome coded diagrams, colorful and clear pictures of both finished squares and how-to's from the basic stitches on... all of this (with no more and certainly no less)... were what sold me on this gem of a book. I plan to use it until it either falls apart - or I pass it on to my granddaughters! Excellently put-together guide. Bravo!

Short & Sweet
This is not a comprehensive how to book, or an extensive stitch dictionary. However, the 20 stitch combinations are colorful, full of texture, and interesting. Each stitch combination has a lot of photos to help you master it.I consider it well worth the price & would buy it again.

I'm All Stitched Up
I like the easy instructions and the pictures do help a lot. I've just started crocheting again after 30yrs. I got some new additions to my family: 1-2/12 yr old granddaughter; 1-1 yr old grandson; and another brand new grand baby soon at the beginning of December. Stop i'm trying to get back in the groove and bones like this helps me alot. Thank you for sharing.

Beautifully illastrated
I love this book because it is full of well written instructions and pictures that illistrate how the stitches are formed. The colors of the yarn are very inspiring. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves yarn and the art of crochet.

GOOD FOR MANY EVEN W/ ITS PROBLEMS.
Sadly, nothing fit my needs regarding the stitches offered. As for the book in general, the AUTHOR NEGLECTED TO INCLUDE A TABLE OF CONTENTS! You must go PAGE BY PAGE to find ANYTHING!!! There are no diagrams, which is very helpful to many people. Most of the photographs are helpful. Some, like Seed Stitch in 3 Colors, Slanted Shell, Fur Stitch, and Floating Rectangles, were of no help due to yarn colors & camera angle. Even with these faults the book is a good learning tool if you are confident with basic stitches. In my opinion, this book does not offer much for the experienced crochet "artist."

Exactly what I needed.
My bucket list for this, my 80th year includes using up my stash of yarns. As a lifelong knitter, crocheter, purchaser and hoarder the stash is extensive and varied. A charity that makes up care packs for parents of children new born to toddlers grabbed my attention and I'm making baby blankets for them. This book has excellent patterns I can use very easily while at the same time remaining interested and engaged by a variety of options. Multicoloured examples will suit my need well. Of particular value is that the multiple of stitches required for each pattern is clearly stated. I would have appreciated an index and also a reference to the fact that the stitches are named in American terminology.

Excellent
I'm really impressed with this guide book of 35 different stitches. The written instructions are clear and concise and are aimed at the intermediate level. The photographs are an added bonus. A previous reviewer said that the photographs in kindle books are too small. I understand what she is saying but with the majority of books if you double tap on the photograph then it should enlarge. I found this a useful feature in this particular book. I'm now going away to try the crocodile stitch using these instructions!

Nice variety of stitches
This is very useful if you want to vary the stitches you use or add texture or lace to a plain project. Good value too.

This books does not help me but the variety of stitches is great for those that can read the patterns
I can't follow patterns, only diagrams. This books does not help me but the variety of stitches is great for those that can read the patterns.
