I love reading my niece this book. It’s hilarious especially when you do different voices for each character

Most children’s books are lackluster and boring....says my 5 year old. This one is her favorite.

WE LOVE THIS BOOK! It appeals to anyone that’s ever put kids to bed at night and knows about all of their last minute drinks of water, more efficient teeth brushing strategies, hugs we forgot to give everyone on the planet, etc etc. (Can you tell I have kids that MIGHT like to push the limits of that 8pm bedtime?) Buy the book for yourself and a copy for your parent friends - money well spent!!!!

I didn’t know what to expect from this book. I love all of Drew Daywalt’s previous books, and I had the impression that this book may only appeal to a younger crowd. I was wrong, it is well written and has a substantial amount of text, which makes this a great read-a-loud book. The back and forth between the two characters is hilarious and can lead to a lot of great conversation with children. Most of the story is written with speech bubbles and I love the dialogue. It is really well written. I should also that the illustrations wonderful, too! Fantastic all around!

This is a must-have children's book. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book to my children. It doesn't get any less funny with repeated readings either. Buy this book to liven up your kids' bedtime routine.

My grandson LOVES this book. Great illustrations, really funny and a good lesson on what it's like to be ANNOYED by someone who won't go to sleep - LOL! We read it every time he comes to sleep over. :)

This is the new go to bed time book that the kids ask us to read Every Night now.Great book and we can all relate to what Roderick's parents go through at bed time.Big fan of Drew Daywalt's work and he does not disappoint with this one. Add it too your book shelf
