I wanted a funky guide about cool things to do off the beaten path
This was disappointing and especially for the price. It seemed mainly to be a vehicle for showcasing the photographer's work. I wanted a funky guide about cool things to do off the beaten path, but instead it seemed like a very personal photojournal of the author's. I wish I could get my money back.

Great Guidebook for LA
I'm not sure what "photographs" other reader is talking about. (I have the hard copy, not kindle) I see tons of maps, not photographs. This is an AWESOME comprehensive guidebook that is well-indexed and well-written. One of the best I've ever seen for the LA area.
