I'm an animal lover. Unfortunately there are a lot of feral cats in this neighborhood because of an irresponsible cat owner. So there's kitties we all feed everywhere. Imagine our dismay to find some of these kitties had been mauled to death by these dogs. They didn't kill for food, they killed for sport. This is unacceptable. For an insomniac like me, I feel safe enough in my neighborhood to walk around at night. I carry pepper spray, too. So I purchased a wrist rocket and an extra band in order to shoot the dogs with it. It isn't that I want to hurt them, but this may be enough to get them to move on to another area where there aren't so many kitties to kill. So I will aim at their backsides until they leave. If they attack they get the finer points of the pepper spray. Its sad that we, as a small neighborhood, have to deal with someone else's mess.

I prefer these powerful tube bands, as well as the Trumark black bands. Saunders makes great products. I had a Saunders SR-7 Wrist Rocket in the early 80's, and was instantly hooked on instinctive slingshot shooting for hunting small game. Heavy bands and 1/2 ammo (marbles, steel or the best hunting ammo... .45 or .50 lead balls), are a deadly combo. Great for pests that raid the bird feeders or trash cans. Quiet too!

Picked this for my brother who uses it in the rain. Since SAunders claims the pouch doesn't retain water like theleather pouches I got it for my brother, He likes it very much and says it makes a difference in his shots.Thank you.

I bought a sling shot to launch fishing line over tree tops, and use that as a means of stringing an antenna high in the air (it's a Ham radio thing).The reality is that stress, ozone, UV, and lots of other things that we take for granted tend to kill the kind of rubber used in a sling shot in fairly short order. The Saunders product is inexpensive, and makes my aerial launching Wrist Rocket even better than new when the old bands have seen better days. Considering their power and reliability, they are cheap, top notch, and made in the USA.They get my vote.

I couldn't tell by the photo just how many replacement bands were in it. There's only one, but it also has the little "pouch" attached, too.As for actually putting it onto the slingshot, at first I thought it was difficult --- until I RTFM* (or, in this case, RTFI). Wipe down the prongs with alcohol. I used an eye dropper and pinched about 1/2" from the end of the rubber tube closed then dropped in some alcohol with the eye dropper until it was full. Then I dumped out the alcohol and easily slid the tube down onto the prong about an inch and a half. Did the same thing with the other side. All-in-all it took about 5 minutes - and that includes getting out the alcohol and the eye dropper. Instructions say to wait 24 hours before using. (Probably to give the alcohol plenty of time to dry so that the bands don't slip off the prongs.) It's been about 12 hours since I replaced it, so I have to wait until morning to try it out. (And I have to wait for the squirrels to show up in the yard, too! LOL But I've got my ammo ready. I grabbed some acorns from the neighbor's yard since her oaks put off much larger acorns than my red oak and water oak trees.)I would have preferred that this hadn't included the rubber "pouch". I'd like to use the original suede leather one. Will have to check to see if only the rubber tubing is available.Edited 4/8/11: Originally I gave this a 5-star rating. Not any more. OK... so I was trying out the newly replaced bands. After about shot number 7, the dang "pin" pulled out of the tubing - the pin that holds one side of the pouch. I've looked at the new tubing and compared it to the old. I can't use my leather pouch with this replacement band because the size of the tubing is different. This tubing is larger and the pins from my old pouch would easily pull out of it. And I noticed, too, that this new tubing is much harder for me to pull (or I've gotten a lot weaker in less than a year! LOL), so my aim isn't as it used to be. I wonder if it would just be cheaper to buy a whole new slingshot than go through this hassle!*Read The Frigging Manual or Read the Frigging Instructions

It is a very strong band. Good quality. But be aware that significant strength is needed to pull the band fully open.

Bands are 3-4 inches too short... too bad they arn't extra long so you can cut to your own length

今まで平ゴムしか使ってませんでしたが、ハイパワーがどれくらいか試したくて買いました。実際に使ってみてわかったのは、平ゴムと違って最後まで引くのが難しいです。自分に力がなかったせいか、数日指に力が入らなくなるくらいでした。パワーはちゃんと引けば平ゴム以上ありますが、引ければの話です。いい点としては平ゴムに比べて長く保ちそうなことと、放ったあとにゴムが絡まないのがいい点です。唯一不満に思った点はゴムの取り付けです。このハイパワーゴムは、平ゴム丸ゴム両方可のファルコン2系でも使えるということで購入しましたが、取り付けるのがかなり難しいです。丸ゴムを設置してもなかなかロックされず、なんとかロックしてもちょっと触るとすぐ外れます。ファルコン2系を使用する人で購入する人は、怪我防止のためにも取り付けたら必ず上からテープなどでしっかり固定してください。
