Vietnamese Coffee Filter 8oz (2-Pack)

The coffee phin I've been using since 2012 was due to for a replacement. I came across this particular phin by Saigon Coffee Market on Amazon which has a slightly different design that I thought would be for the better so I decided to give it a try. This particular phin was by far ergonomically superior to my old phin. The primary issues I had with my old phin was that 1) the container was a burn hazard without the black plastic handles to hold onto 2) frequent clogging with the screw-down press apparatus. I was skeptical about the filtration capability of Saigon Coffee Market's phin at first without the screw-down press since it seemed logical for the coffee grounds to leak through the filter; however, after using it for the first time I was in awe at how efficient and fast it filtered my coffee with little-to-no coffee ground in my coffee. It might be a placebo effect, but I am certain my coffee has a stronger taste now, which is perfect for contrasting the sweet Vietnamese iced coffee. I would highly recommend this product!

This wonderful Vietnamese Coffee Filter makes the best coffee! I have used a variety of coffee pots and this 8 oz. filter guarantees a perfect cup of coffee in the right size every time. It is so easy to use... no paper filters, easy to clean and I highly recommend it. This filter comes in a little cardboard box with directions for making hot or iced coffee. I bought 2 of the 8 oz. size... one for me and one for a friend. Customer service is the best around. I will be buying more for friends at Christmas time.

We loved the coffee filter. We appreciate this compact, study, portable set that can enable us to make a strong little cup of coffee. . We have a french press but the glass barrel means it is not as portable. We have many other devices to make a cup of coffee but this one holds its own in our arsenal for a great cup of coffee.If you want simplicity and less electronic devices, you can slip this in a drawer and you can tote it to use anywhere you can find hot water. You can buy special coffee to go with the Vietnamese coffee filter or you can have your favorite kind ground. We tried both with good results.

I bought two different brands of phins to test this one did not come in a box like the pictures. I used it twice the drip process in this one is so slow it takes longer than the other phin with the same result. Today I went to use it again and found rust on the filter!

This is a great little coffee filter, however the holes are quite small and the recommended coffee takes much longer to filter through and at times does not filter through the entire amount. I have followed the instructions and have pre wet the coffee grounds.

Makes a great Vietnamese coffee. Wish I would have gotten a bigger one though.

I really enjoyed this coffee filter. It is a lot more study and well-made than the one I bought at a local store. The material does not feel cheap at all. The plastic handles on the side definitely helped when removing the filter off the cup. My old one didn't have these, so it got really hot whenever I tried to remove it off the cup. Would highly recommend this.
