Works as expected to add Sirius XM capability to aftermarket car stereos
Bought the SXV300AZV1 to add Sirius XM capability to our existing Dynavin aftermarket stereo. Unlike most car stereos that are Sirius-XM Ready, the Dynavin required an adapter cable available only through them. Not a big hassle and it's definitely a Dynavin-specific problem and not an issue with this kit. Most aftermarket car stereos already have the correct plug port on the back. I know the Kenwood stereo in our other car doesn't require any sort of adapter.Other than that, installation was easy. The magnetic mount antenna includes plenty of cable to run from the dash all the way back to the rear of your typical SUV. The included tool, while useful, is nothing special. Just a hard plastic spatula to help you push and nudge the cable around into crevices and under rubber/plastic trim without taking everything apart . The price of the receiver kit with the tool (SXV300AZV1) was less than the same kit without (SXV300V1) so I ended up with the tool. The receiver module is tiny and should fit easily under any dash. The module includes slots for running a pair a Zip-Ties to help with mounting, but the kit doesn't bother including them.In use, reception is fine and the only dropouts I've experienced happen in the same locations where I see dropouts with a factory-installed satellite system. Some folks say satellite radio is dead, but we travel a lot and regularly hit cellular dead zones that make streaming impossible. It's nice to have a variety of consistent programming no matter where we go at the push of a button. My only real complaint has nothing at all to do with the SXV300 (it does everything it says it will) and more about the crummy interface designs of many aftermarket radios. Some make it easy to search or scroll through the hundred+ Sirius-XM channels while others just have a clunky text-only interface that is painful to use. Again, not the fault of the SXV300 in any way. Will likely buy another at some point to hook to the Kenwood receiver in the other car.

Easy install
Ordered this tuner to install in my new tractor cab. Small unit lays flat on top of the "Sirius XM Ready" radio in its enclosure and plugs right in. Ran the antenna wire through the window molding, put the magnetic antenna on the roof and, presto! Satellite radio. Sound is fine and have had no problems with signal loss at all. All the presets on the radio work and have had no problems. Wish everything electronic was this simple and inexpensive. Only annoyance is that, although I already pay for a full Car and Streaming subscription, I had to purchase another (discounted) subscription for this radio.

Easy like Sunday morning
In my 2010 GMC Yukon SLT, I replaced my factory Bose head unit with a Jensen unit that is XM capable but it needs the SXV300 tuner to plug into it. I purchased theSiriusXM SXV300AZV1 Satellite Radio Vehicle Tuner from Amazon. This package includes a satellite antenna but I wanted to use my factory antenna. The GM XM satellite box is behind the glove box. When you lower the glove box you can see the antenna plug on the right. I unplugged it from the factory XM box and plugged in the adapter cable which I also purchased from Amazon. That adapter perfectly plugs into the SXV300 unit which is small and easily mounts with zip ties. Install is as easy as plugging in the antenna and plugging the SXV300 Cale into the back of the radio and it starts working. XM Satellite works great on my new Jensen using the SXV300. I’ll just add this vehicle to my subscription.

Excellent unit and great buy. But . . . . .
I purchased this SiriusXM tuner to install in my vehicle after a new head unit (Sony XAV-AX8100) was installed by a local sound shop. If you are familiar with how to remove your vehicles radio, the installation is a breeze. The hardest part for me was getting all of the wiring harnesses back in behind the head unit.I am not sure if it is the tuner or it's interaction with the Sony radio, but I have found out that I am not able to tag a song or an artist as a favorite or see any of my favorites (songs, artists or stations) in a list. All of the other features on SiriusXM I am familiar with are available. If I use SiriusXM through Android Auto, at least I have access to my list of favorite radio stations that I have set up on the SiriusXM app on my phone. This issue only presents itself if I am using SiriusXM as my music source on the radio head unit.I have spent about 45 minutes on chats with SiriusXM and Sony discussing my concerns. SiriusXM and Sony went through their troubleshooting steps and each of them say these features should be available to me and can't find a reason why they aren't. SiriusXM told me it's a radio problem and Sony told me it's a SiriusXM tuner problem. Either way, I do not have access to the features I expected. If these things are important to you, just beware.I can't do a return because the original box has been recycled.

It works
It works as it should however, I wish it came with an adhesive backing. I don’t believe it did.
