I've been using it for almost a year
I've been using this sat nav for almost a year so I thought it's time for a review. I previously had tomtom, garmin and seat sat navs and this is better by a country mile.Good bits :* large touch screen thats easy to read whilst driving.* The screen is good quality and it's super accurate.* It updated itself after a new bypass was built and other roads but I don't know how though.* Connects to audio through the car stereo I presume through bluetooth.* You can alter literally every setting to how you want it.* Voices are actually nice sounding.* Lane guidance is good and works.* satellite connection is always reliable.Needs improvement :* It's a little slow to catch up on roundabouts if you drive too fast so just drive a bit slower.* Window holder needs an upgrade as it's a bit flimsy where it clips onto the sat nav.* It doesn't like being connected before my daughter starts her older car. It crashes a lot on ignition start up. My van is new and I don't have that problem.Overall, I'm still really happy with it a year later and has never sent me down tiny roads in my van. I bought a separate case and my sat nav is still like new. I'd buy this again too as it's got masses of features for the money.

Lost and found
Positive points - it does the job, tells you to turn when you should and it undoubtedly has a lot of features I have not explored. Battery life is also fine, has the option to vary routes if you are driving an HGV - I'm not so I can't verify accuracy on that point.Negatives - doesn't like it if you don't follow the instructions and can take quite a while to accept that you won't detour back to it's chosen route. It did lose satelites on one occasion but you are able to reset it. To set a route is easy enough but you have to click through a number of screens to get there. My guess is if you take the time to set it up properly rather than just plug it in, this can be avoided. It also shows speed limits which are not updated for a while - miles not a few metres. My previous satnav showed your speed and the speed limit - handy when you are driving in Europe with a British car.I've had it 6 weeks and made a couple of long trips in Europe. Would I buy it again? Yes probably. It's always difficult to give a fair review until you have properly used the item. You can plug it in and use it without reading the manual, which I did, but you probably get a lot more out of it by taking the time to open the book.

Great sat nav for the price
My own in house car sat nav didn’t include maps for Europe and the manufacturers wanted an additional £300 to add it.So I bought this to drive across Spain from Santander to Torremolinos a 10 hour drive. The accuracy was spot on and it was perfect for avoiding tolls, it cost the grand total of £3.70 for the whole journey. On the return journey we took a slightly different route in order to stay at a hotel outside of Santander. The sat nav once again assisted us by using a toll road near Madrid to avoid extensive traffic 3 days before Christmas saving a lot of time sitting in long queues.Feeling confident it chose the best and fastest route we actually used it to travel home in the uk rather than the built in car one and once again it came up trumps. It was relatively easy to use and took us to the all our destinations and hotels no problem. The screen is very large and bright so you have no difficulty reading it.The suction cup was a bit fiddly to put together and clip to the device but it stuck to the dash no problem,.

Wouldn't find gps satellites
Worked fine for the first week then wouldn't find a GPS signal, tried all trouble shooting guides looked online for solutions and even did a factory reset, the device would only find two satellites at a poor signal strength and this was outside in the garden, gave up after two days of trying to fix it and bought a Tom Tom instead

Sat nav for trucks
Brilliant value for money,on a stamp to my shennen sat nav, that I had for years till someone broke the screen and became unresponsive ,if this gives me the years the latter gave me I'll be happy, plus this one actually comes with an instruction book.

Good screen but not great audio and some inaccuracies with navigation and speeds
Good screen but not great audio and some inaccuracies with navigation and speeds. It was also too laggy so not quick enough to catch up with your current position or when you made a mistake on route so your were left unsure. The screen is very good but the vital parts of the sat Nav functionality just weren’t good enough.

An excellent Sat Nav at a very reasonable price.
I first got one of these units about 5 years ago. It was an excellent unit then and served me well. I wanted to upgrade so I ordered the latest model. After playing with it I can confirm it is even better than my first model. It is slicker more responsive and very accurate. I would absolutely recommend this unit as it is top quality for a very reasonable price. Also the free lifetime upgrades of maps is a true statement and OHREX always keep you up to date.A great product from a great company.
