MAHLEOriginal LX 2672 Air Filter

High quality and exact fit for 2011 Subaru Tribeca. This Mahle LX 2672 has 24 pleats in the filtering media versus 15 pleats in the OEM Subaru filter (which is made by Denso btw). More pleats means greater square inch surface to capture more debris and greater air flow as well. On the provided photo note original dirty filter on the right that I replaced with this new filter shown on the left.I did the air filter replacement in my garage and upon completion took the car out for quick test drive. When I started the engine for first time I got the MIL check engine light on with two codes related to MAF (mass airflow sensor). I did not manually clear the codes and they got cleared on its own next day after about 20 miles drive and one stop. Hope this helps any DIY-selfers.

I replace my air filters every 10k and often shake out and rotate 180* mid life. I don't get many leaves where I live, but keeping the filter clean is important. What's the best thing about this filter. It has 23 pleats which is approx 40% more than Fram filters. The amount offiltering surface area DOES matter. Fram has decreased their number of pleats but claim their filter is "the same". It's not. Mahle filters are a few dollars more and worth every penny. This is a simple maintenance item that you shouldn't skimp on. Spend the extra money on Mahle, you'll be happy you did. Recommended purchase.

i picked up 2 of these filters for my 09 Legacy GT Spec. B. Ive only used oem filters before, but as my car has gotten older, i figured why not save where i can and change the cheap filter twice as often. anyhow the filter fit perfect and looks like its been put together better then the oem unit. more pleats and more uniform looking paper material.

Dinged one star because I barely got the box to snap closed. Previous AC-delco or similar generic filter fit just fine. This one seems to be a bit oversized, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just means I had to go Hulk-Smash on closing the clips of the box.

My mileage went up 2 miles per gallon on the first fill up.

The filter looks to be well made and of high quality. Unfortunately it does not fit properly. It is a bit bigger/thicker and putting the housing back in place take more effort than with the OEM filter. I am not comfortable forcing the housing into place and thus returned the filter.

Amazon shows this item not fitting a 06 OB but Mahle specs the part number and it fits fine.

Appears to be well made with sturdy plastic frame and quality filter material; however, the white gasket surrounding the frame is too thick. The filter would not fit properly in my filter box. I returned the filter to Amazon. My car is a 2008 Subaru Outback 2.5i.

This filter fits my 2013 Subaru Forester. Take a look at the attached photo. The one with more pleats is the Mahle. The one with less pleats is my old one which is another leading brand. I won't mention the name but let's just say that the other brand's product comes in an orange box.

beware, does NOT fit 2010 impreza 2.5. if you trim down the white gasket (witch is too thick) it will fit.

I installed this in my 2010 Subaru Outback 2.5. It's bezel is slightly thicker than the Subaru one, so it required a little persuasion to close the filter housing, so I didn't bother trimming it. The good thing is the filter has more pleats so may potentially work better at filtering intake air. Minus one star for the figment issue.
