So Much Fun!
The concept is so simple yet the game is so addicting. My 8 year old, 6 year old, and I played the game together the day it arrived. I had to give my 6 year old some multiplication clues so he wouldn't be at a disadvantage because you absolutely need to be able to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to win, but overall really intriguing for all of us. It could be played with a regular deck of cards but my children absolutely loved the sheep cards and I think that played in to their interest. The cards are also colored so you always get numbers within certain ranges on half the cards dealt which helps. Through the game, I discovered the children are not nearly as slow at their math facts as they lead me to believe during their homework! I will enjoy playing it with my husband and as a solitaire game.If you are familiar with the game 24 and enjoy that, this is definitely up your alley.

Great game!
This game is a good way to help students learn their math facts and think critically. Students have to get four cards. Next, they need to use at least two cards to make the number one, then two, then three, and so on. Students can use it as a bellringer or for early finishers.

Fun in small intervals
I read about this game before buying it and it lived up to it's description. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars vs. 5 stars is that the game has failed to hold my son's interest (as well as his cousins' interest when we played with them) over the course of more than one round. Definitely a worthwhile purchase because anytime we can sharpen math skills, I'm on board.

Great Resource for Teachers!!
This is a great game for students in helping master the basic computation skills. ( I teach 3rd and 4th grade but think it coud be used in 2nd and 5th as well). When I assign math games, the kids all ask if they can play Albert's Insomnia. I had to buy more sets because I needed more to go around. The cards are sturdy and have a plastic (I'm not susre how else to explain it) that help preserve the cards. The directions are clear and easy to follow. The kids like having the colored cards as it helps them remember which ones to use. They never get tired of the game. The thing that stands out most to me is the fact that this game can be played by kids of different skills levels. My gifted students are challenged to find multiplication and division facts when possible and my struggling students tend to stay with a focus on addition and subtraction facts. They all can feel successful though. Great resource for teachers. I give this game two thumbs up.

Fun way to practice math
My son and I love this game. It has really improved his mental math skills. A knowledge of the at least some multiplication/division facts is necessary. It is fun and quite challenging.
