Artificial Nest Eggs Fake Food Dummy House Decor (10pcs)

I'm using these to coax my new pullets to lay eggs in the boxes.

I recommend these to anyone who has laying hens that are having difficulty figuring out the nest boxes. I put these in the nest boxes for a couple of days, and my hens have now decided it's okay to lay in there. I have sanitized them and my little grand daughter is using them in her "kitchen".

I use these in my nesting boxes to trick my hens into laying eggs. I previously used more expensive ceramic eggs (which have all been eaten by rats snakes). I bought these as replacements...they are not as good as the ceramic eggs to a discerning eye. The ceramics were easily mistaken for real eggs and the texture and weight were spot on (I had to mark them to tell the difference, which is its own kind of problem...they were too good). These guys looks like eggs but are obviously fake once you touch them or pick them up...but hey, the chicken don't seem to know the difference and these are much cheaper than the ceramic eggs.

I got them to put in the nest boxes of my chickens to encourage them to lay their eggs in the boxes and not just anywhere. Unfortunately, the eggs are too light and as the hens work the nest boxes, they kick the light plastic eggs out onto the floor. Should be a bit heavier, which is why they got four stars. However, if I was one to use eggs for decorating in a basket, they would work just fine.

Poor Quality

bought to use as dummy nest eggs as "real" dummy nest eggs are stupid expensive like $5 for 2 eggs?!so i got these, poked a hole in the end and half filled with sand, plugged the hole with elmers - viola! perfect.

very realistic from a distance. They definitely helped train my chickens where to lay, and prevented one egg eater from continuing her bad behavior. These don't have the weight to them they are made of light plastic, but they work for the purpose intended.

Got these to help my hens get the drift of where to lay their eggs. They are so lifelike I have to be careful I don't collect them as the real thing.
