IguanaSmoky Chipotle Pepper Sauce

What this is, is a delicious, smokey and flavorful sauce with a really nice "chipotleness". I don't agree with some other comments saying it isn't chipotle forward. It definitely is IMO. What this isn't is a hot sauce. It is not hot. If you'd like to heat it up, maybe mix it with Iguana's En Fuego sauce. Just a tablespoon of that stuff can make a whole pot of chile very hot. But the chipotle sauce is worth it just for the flavor alone.

Low to moderate heat depending on your palette. This is definitely more for flavor than for heat. Nice vinegar brightness on the front end, smoky, fruity and complex, yet versatile. Wish it were a bit cheaper though, not the best bang for the buck.

If you appreciate the flavor of smoked chipotle, this fits the ticket. Just the right amount of smoke and pepper flavors. Not to hot.....not to mild...Would say a smoky medium heat. Very nice as with the other Iguana sauces recently purchased.. Imported from Costa Rica

Decent sauce, but it taste like a can of tomato paste and some chilies, plus a chipotle on top, were added to a food processor and blended together. Its thick, has some residual spice, but not something I'd taste and immediately identify as a chipotle sauce. On the heat scale its mild, it is tasty, but nothing special here. If you're looking for even mild smokiness, this isn't the chipotle sauce you're looking for.

When I have to eat frozen breakfast things this makes them at least edible if not really damn good. I love the smokiness and the spice is near perfect while slurping down my coffee. Probably the only sauce I will keep on hand constantly. Yum.

I found this stuff on a Carnival cruise. (If you get a chance to eat at the Blue Iguana, do it). As soon as I got home I ordered a couple bottles. Not sure I even looked at how much they cost. I just bought them. It's wonderful. Smokey with a little bite.. but not too much. Oh my. It's delicious and makes food special.Since then, I've realized how much it was and have been a little more hesitant to order more. I will at some point. But it's not a cheap condiment for sure.

Excellent smoky chipotle flavor, but not too hot for the timid in the house.

The bottle says Chipotle pepper sauce, although it is only Jalapeno. It is also too thick and does not pour from the bottle in a usable fashion. I did manage to put some water into the bottle and correct the pour, but that should not be a requirement. Flavor is not bad, no real spice to it. All in all, not terrible but not something this company should expect you to spend your money on.
