Cabin Plans With Loft DIY Cottage Guest House Building Plan 384 sq/ft

This is a very nice and affordable set of plans. Its very basic and very simple to understand and follow. That being said its a bit to simple it still lacks details such as.. Inner wall layout 2x4 or 2x6 , Truss build layout for roofing , and flooring layout for slab or crawlspace. Other than that if those details and information was included this would be an amazing little set of plans but for what it is its still a very nice well thought out set of plans or a great price.

I like the layout of the cabin, as it seems much more practical and livable than the usual 8 foot wide trailer plans on the market. In my opinion, the bathroom is a bit too tight, and might benefit from a six inch expansion to allow for a 36x36 shower. The additional width could be made up by using a 24 inch range in the kitchen. My only complaints are that the plans are not to scale, which makes planning difficult, and the kitchen dimensions are incorrect ( it is not 8’3” wide by any stretch). The bill of materials is incomplete and has errors and duplications ( floor decking is listed twice, no plumbing, fixtures, or electrical). All this said, I bet this would be a great plan for a vacation cabin/rental/starter home/retirement cottage. It wouldn’t be too expensive to build, but if you do it, be sure to get a COMPLETE list of ALL materials,permits,hookups,etc.

Waste of money. List of materials is wrong and incomplete. You can get better plans for free, or just do your own. Also, just for others reading this and to be clear, this is a 16x24 foot cabin, which is actually pretty large.
