The old method was tricky and tough to use. This Accuvin test kit makes the process a snap with pre-measured reagent and an easy to read color scale. My only suggestion is to let the sample and reagent sit for several minutes for the chemical process to complete and render a final color to compare to the scale. You will be able to get a stable and easy to read result on the color chart. I will only use this test kit from now on. Review: Easy to use - I give them a 5 because of the product and the packaging. These are hard to find in this configuration for smaller home wine makers. The test are very easy to use and come with easy to read instructions. 5/28/13 -- I am down grading my review because of the short expiration date. They came with less then 2 months left and I had to throw most of them away. I think I will try ordering directly from the MFG instead of through Midwest next time.
