Prima Triglycerides Test Strips (Pack of 25 pcs)

The test strips I have used have given me the same, plus or minus, triglyceride results as Quest labs. Therefore I feel I can rely on the testing quality. Overall this is a high quality product. It's just too bad they are so high priced. However, I will buy this product again.

These are definitely the lowest price per strip available. If your Triglycerides are over 400, as mine frequently are, I would judge the accuracy as questionable. However, under 400, these are pretty accurate. My latest reading of 259 was validated by a lab test of 260.

Although it works as described it won't go low enough below 130 total cholesterol to do me any good. My total cholesterol is around 100 since starting the Mc dougall heart plan I guess it's a good thing but all it reads is low now

Fabulous product! At last a product that allows home lipid testing. Now if they could just develop a home electronic meter for testing cardiac markers (troponins and creatine kinases) and creatinine for kidney function. Keep your fingers crossed! The Prima home test meter is a must have item for everyone 50 years and older. An excellent product!!

With managed care your better off to be pro active. And not wait for year provided annual exam to find out you are in serious trouble with your MD. Use the Cholesterol strips with same meter as well.

It seems like a good set and good strips, but if you aren't good at taking your blood samples with a lancet or dealing with electronics, don't bother. I've tried getting it right nine times. First a low reading, then a series of alternating error messages. Oh well. I've given up for now. -- Update -- after a year of trying to get the tester to work, I finally used up my trig test strips and opened this one to keep trying only to discover that I was sent strips for cholesterol. This only added to a year of on-and-off frustration and I've just thrown the tester, the kit and these test strips in the trash.

It’s help me to reduce my tg, I check my tg regularly basis , if high i can push my walking!

I bought it for my Mom and brought it to China. She likes it after she used it. She said that easy to use and result is accurate. I would recommend it.
