You will laugh when you read this!I'm a 54 year old woman very skilled in clerical work. I'm completely 'city' raised with very little to no farm experience. With that being said, I can say that I never had pulled a trailer of any sort, nor hooked one up.I now live on a farm and carrier trailers are extremely necessary. I didn't want to damage my truck or my trailer because of a 'sight' error in the hook up process. So, I invented a flag on a PVC pipe to know where the tongue of the trailer was to prevent from hitting the trailer and damaging my truck. It sure was 'cheesy' looking, but it partially worked!My 35 year old son came over to visit and laughed his buttocks off when he saw my invention. He said, "Mom, they make a perfect 'Hitch Alignment' tool that will better your hookup process and prevent damage to your truck." I was shocked as I thought I was a genius of this invention!So, my son and I visited Amazon.com inventory of this device. I purchased two (one for each vehicle as I like to have tools at hand without running all over the place to get what I need).This Hitch Alignment tool is absolutely wonderful as it protects your vehicle and protects your trailer while in the hookup process. You only get out of your vehicle ONE TIME...to connect/lock down the trailer to your vehicle!This tool is absolutely perfect when you only have yourself to hookup a trailer. It is my best friend!This is a MUST tool for anyone that is not perfect in hooking up a trailer on their own and does not want to damage their vehicle or trailer.Boy, I was so proud of myself for my 'cheesy' invention. I really thought I was brilliant with the idea, but this Hitch Alignment tool is absolutely perfect! And I Love It!

Does the job!
I used these to back my truck up to my RV it was a lifesaver being able to use these to guide me in the right direction. I still had to get out and see where I was compared to the balls the first couple of times but now I almost can back it up on the first try with these in place. Love these!

They work
The product description is accurate and these do provide a safer way to hitch a trailer. I did find that because the top of my hitch is rounded, getting one of the pieces to stand straight was a challenge, My solution was to place two smaller magnets on the base for the ball I placed on top of the hitch. Now it works like a charm.

Makes hitching easy the only problem is the magnets that hold them to the hitch fall out.

Much cheaper than purchasing a backup camera system
Was about to buy a backup camera system then found this. Will work great for hooking up my trailers.Also a quarter of the price.

I bought this to permanently mark a parking spot which is really tight next to my garage, to protect an air conditioning unit from my van, and vice versa. Balls turned white in the sun after a couple weeks, and I suspect I will be replacing the balls in the future. But my use is aftermarket, and the magnets are strong, and overall I'm happy.

Used on my 5th wheel
I have an Andersen hitch in my truck bed with a trifold hard cover which I keep on. Unfortunately the hitch is out of view from my cargo camera because of the cover so I put one rod behind the hitch and the other on the pinbox.Line them up and bullseye ,right on Everytime.Strong magnets too

These are great!!! I am a first time trailer puller and annoyingly independent and hate asking for help and I was completely overwhelmed by all this new stuff I had to learn and be aware of when taking my little home on wheels out. This product took a huge stress off my shoulders. I got locked in after just my second try in my driveway. Then after I was done camping I was able to hook up very easily even though I had to come in at a weird angle due to a tree that must have grown overnight 🤣 But these were a charm to use!!! If you treat them nicely their "flimsiness" that other reviews talk about shouldn't be an issue. I do t see any problems with them not lasting me for several years!
