So technically, I bought these to make cement bowls but, I only use the two bigger ones for that project and the rest found themselves useful in my kitchen.

My bowls came with black spots and black film all over them, it was particularly bad around the rims. I'm quite sure the black film and spots is from the manufacturing process. Mine were not cleaned before I received them. It took quite a bit of elbow grease, which was frustrating, but all the black came off with baking soda and vinegar. I then had to run them through a couple of dishwasher cycles. I would have just sent them back, but I loved all the different sizes and the depths of the bowls. I had also bought and returned other sets of bowls because they weren't deep enough. The sizes of the bowls are very versatile and easy to clean once the initial "first cleaning" is done. They're great, just be prepared for a bit of "prep work" before the first use.

I really wanted stainless steel mixing bowls that are easy to clean and have many sizes to choose from. These fit the bill. I read the reviews about them having a left over black grease from manufacturing. When I got them I washed them in the dishwasher and hand washed under the rim to make sure all of that was removed. Even so, when holding the bowl/rim when mixing, you will get black marks on your skin. Also, the bowl will leave black marks on the counter. They do clean up easily both from hands and counter, but it's still unsightly and makes you wonder what you are mixing in your food that you can not see.

This is a GREAT set!! Lots of bowls and sizes! The largest was so big, I had to store it in a larger cabinet (which I'm fine with). Great when just marinading a small amount, and the larger bowls are perfect for mixing things. What I like with WEIGHT. Our shelves use those little pegs, and when we put a bunch of glass bowls on them, eventually they give way and the shelf falls. This whole set is lighter than just a couple of glass bowls. LOVE THESE!!

Great bowls for the price. They aren’t industrial standard quality, but for at home cooking they do just fine. They aren’t thick walled, yet nor are they too thin. They have quite a large flat bottom for a bowl from what I’m used to. If you’re looking for more of a round bottom then keep looking. Overall I’m happy for the price I’ve paid.

This is a great set of mixing bowls. After more than 25 years it was time to replace my old set which somehow had dwindled down to two bowls. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it’s liberating having so many bowls at my disposal! And I love that they have such a wide, flat base. Why has no one done that before? Also, great range of sizes. Totally happy with this purchase.
