PHALANX DEFENSE SYSTEMS Stealth Operator Twin Mag Holster

Comfortable mag holder with some adjustment
I purchased three systems for my CZ P07 9 mm double stack magazines. The first was an Alien Gear double mag holder. It was a great modular system but proved to be too thick. I also compared this with Bravo Concealment Universal mag holder. I ended up keeping the Bravo system. This Phalanx system was priced very well. It did not initially fit my CZ P07 magazine. I could fit one magazine in the back well but not in the front. There is a screw to adjust tension with a rubber bumper pad around it which was compressed and didn't allow both magazines to fit. I removed the rubber bumper and then both magazines fit. This then allowed the screw to rattle some when the holder was empty. Not that big of a deal. I think I could have found a smaller bumper which would have solved the problem. The second problem was the belt loops were very cheap. They did not appear that they would last. They were not made of the same material as the holster. I planned to replace them by drilling out the rivets and replacing them but then I noticed that the holes were were not filled the same as the other empty holes. This was the deal killer. The second was that I decided to go with two single mag holders. As a private citizen I don't really need two extra 15 round magazines plus 16 in the gun.I did like the cut and it was otherwise comfortable to wear.

Phalanx Defense Systems Stealth Operator Twin Magazine Pouch
This looks to be a good piece of gear that will last for some time to come. This twin magazine pouch has a tension screw adjustable with an allen wrench/hex key, and has indentations to fit the magazine detents on double stack 9mm Glock Magazines for additional retention. Tension seems to be uniform enough between both magazines. Because of these indentations, the magazine pouch should securely hold 15-round magazines for the Glock 19 (My current application), 17- and 33-round magazines for the Glock 17, and 10-round magazines for the Glock 26. (Bear in mind that if your intended use for this product is with the Glock 26, the factory-capacity magazines may be harder to draw because of their shorter length.) Unlike several other double pistol magazine pouches on the market, this pouch is designed to carry both mags facing forward, for right-handed shooters. My only complaints lie the belt loops. They seem to be made to accommodate an odd width of belt, a little over two inches, upon measurement, which I find strange. This would be fine if other belt loops for more common widths such as 1.5" and 1.75" were included, but they are not. That said, it is not a deal breaker with a belt of the correct width, and I'm sure I could remedy this to work fine on a 1.75" belt with some ingenuity and electrical tape. Additionally, I think I will use the eyelet at the bottom of pouch, (Shown in the picture) some paracord, and a cord cinch to rig a sort of anchoring drop-leg system to pull down on the bottom of the pouch so that it doesn't ride up when drawing a fresh magazine.

Nice entry level holster
Nice entry level holster..... The adjustment screw keeps the magazines snug but it's hit or miss if it adjusts both sides evenly..... My front mag sticks a lil while the back is just right

Only one mag fits
What's up w this? Only 1 man fits well, the other is loose and falls out easily. The adjusting screw does nothing to solve the problem. I even try submerging in boiling water (to re-mold) and using a dry hot blower to no avail...This is a universal complaint and the company should address.

What retention?
Mag retention is...alright? One mag fits securely but the other is... kinda meh. conceals well enough when I'm wearing a jacket.

Can't recommend this product however the compact holster is great
Can't recommend this product however the compact holster is great! The major problem is one side is tighter than the other. I can look at mine and see a difference in the opening between the two mag holders. A mag carrier with uneven tension is useless. If the tension was even it would be pretty decent and you could just use the adjustment screw to tighten for mecgar style 9/40 mags. Just don't buy this thinking it's gonna hold your single stack 9mm mags all the way up to glock .45 mags
