I figured out how to solder it together.And it was working quite well. I was excited again :)Unfortunately I had short, when I was using multiple power sources.

This works exactly as described. I've integrated into a little Arduino weather station and it is working perfectly. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to order this shield without a battery or at least give the options bigger cells.

Some tips:Keep in mind these require assembly which means soldering. Take care not to put the battery on first because you dont want a hot soldering iron possibly setting the lithium on fire. Put the battery on last and solder it to the position indicated in the included instructions. Make sure you know which side is which, this battery can be assembled 2 ways. I had to re-solder the power input/av because I made a mistake and put it on the wrong side. Think first, solder 2nd ;)Performance:Works pretty well. I haven't tested the included code because I've been too busy using it so I guess that means it's a good piece of kit. I've read you shouldnt let it fully discharge. So take care and you should be fine. I'm going to update all my code to include a process that checks the battery level and shuts down before the battery fails.Performance varies based on what it's powering. I was able to run a little OLED for about 18 hours which was impressive. However my gas and air pollution sensors only run for about 2 hours before shutting down, that setup includes two heated sensors an oled screen and a voice synthesizer which push the limit of the Uno theyre on.

This shield is awesome! Having a rechargeable battery with so many internal diagnostics greatly increases the functionality of my Arduino projects.

Purchased mine through the Kickstarter campaign, but am so glad that I have one. Need many more.
