We were headed to Florida and realized our young weed of a son has outgrown his sun shirt from last year, so based on reviews I found this one and ordered right away. Shirt arrived on time and we spent a good 5 days in the pool and bright Florida sun last week. He found it quite comfortable, he's a taller 60 pound 6 year old so we bought the Large, and he still had room. I thought it looked great on him, and it held up well to 5 days of constant pool use. He had no issues with any color or sun on the parts covered by the shirt, meaning the protection it offered was obviously good. I also found the quality to be above average as it seems to be well made.Quality:Stitching is great, no signs of loose threads, no rips, tears or holes. After wearing for a week, around 4-5 hours a day in chlorine the shirt looks and feels the same as it did. I own a white sun shirt from another company and after using it for the same amount time I'm seeing yellowing and fading, so my son appears to have gotten the better deal.Feel:It's a nice stretchy fabric that feels soft to the skin, my son is super sensitive to touch, so for him to like how it feels says something for sure.Overall:I would totally order again! In fact my two other kids could use another sun shirt for the summer so I can easily send a dry pair without needing to wait for it to dry.

I originally went cheaper and got swim shirts for my three boys that were less expensive. I immediately returned them because they were so thin and just poor quality. These ones are about $10 more expensive so I was hesitant to purchase them (I needed three so it adds up) but the quality is SO much better. I think these will work for each of my boys for two years and then we can pass down the shirts that the older two have. They are quite a bit thicker than competitor's, fit tighter around the neck, and the I like the longer fitting short sleeves for a sun shirt. The difference between these and another popular brand is quite noticeable. Definitely worth it to pay $10 more and probably get years more out of the shirts.

Great sun protection. Stiff stretch so neck stays close to skin. Always come back to same product for the next size up.

I bought this after reading many great reviews. So many people commented on the quality and I thought the same thing when I got it. It seems well made and thick. However, I actually think it is TOO thick. Started to notice that any time my son had this particular rash guard on, his face was always flushed and he was sweating. Never happened any other time and never when wearing other rash guards. I even asked daycare to see if they noticed anything when he wore it and they said the same thing. I then realized that it is just too heavy and it makes him extra hot. So we went to the beach a few days ago for sunset and I knew it would be cooler but once he got wet, the weight of the shirt made him extra cold. It wouldn’t dry. So I can’t recommend this. I think it’s too thick for it’s intended purpose.

My son is in size 5T in all clothing and everything fits him great, except this. He is figuratively swimming in it. It has to be closer to a 6 or even maybe a 7. The neck is big, sleeves and body are all loose. Nothing fitted like I was expecting in a swim shirt. I guess it’ll fit for next year too.
