Use to upgrade existing net
I originally bought a string based net, but my first snook cut though and got away. The handle and hoop were in great shape, so I replaced it with this net. I couldn’t be happier!

Replacement net
The replacememt net fit easily and worked as it should. Frabill replaced my net at no charge when the original one tore. Very impressed and happy that Frabill resolved this problem.

Great net for bigger fish
This net works great. I use it regularly for walleye fishing and it is the best option out there for a quick net. This net really does a good job to prevent tangles from hooks, so it is quick to remove a fish and the lure in the event that you get two lines to go off at once. I bought this as an upgrade for my previous net since Frabill does not seem to make hoops this size anymore with the rubber net. I would highly recommend upgrading your landing net. To slide it on the hoop, I used some vegetable oil and that made installation easy. The only complaint about this net is that it is heavy, so make sure you attach something that floats to your net in case you drop it overboard as this net will sink (I learned the hard way).

What was so hard about installing this???
Seriously! I installed it by myself in less than 2 minutes (the old net was already removed)!!! Hint, spray a little silicone on the hoop before you start, the rubber net will slide on like butter!!! This ain't rocket science folks!!!Ok, rant over, onto product now...This is the same Frabill net I already have on another hoop, and if this last as long as the other one, seeing that it's still going strong after 3+ years of use with only one loop broken (and I seriously think that happened off the water, not while any of us were using it to haul in fish), I won't need to buy another one for several years. It works very well with all hooks, way better than the string-type nets, which are just a pain if you accidentally get a hook set in it while getting your catch off a hook. Especially useful with multi-treble hook lures, the rubber is resistant to the hooks diggin' in and getting caught in the net. This doesn't mean that it will never happen again, but its so much easier to remove it if you do get it caught! For sizing the right net, measure the hoop on your net, width first then length(end of pole to outer-most edge of hoop), those two numbers should not be larger than the size of net you'll need. Mine measured 18x22 and I purchased the 20x23 net, it seems to fit just fine, maybe just a hair loose, but that will not affect the use of the net at all.

Fits on my net frame - good quality but heavy
I replaced the fabric net bag on the Sportsman Frabill landing net I purchased several years ago at Walmart with this bag. It was an easy job. The original bag was threaded through a slot that ran the length of the round frame, and this rubber replacement bag was not designed for the slot. The net bag did not come with instructions. To mount it,I removed two bolts that connected the handle to the hoop and removed the hoop. I cut the fabric bag free and removed it from the slot, and then threaded the frame through the openings on the top of the net bag, zig-zagging it all the way around. It works fine in that configuration and seems to match the way the bags are mounted on the new Frabill nets that are sold with rubber bags attached. The only downside is the added weight. The heavy rubber used in the bag is...heavy! However, this also means that the bag will be a strong one that will likely last many seasons.

The net is a nice bet, just not deep enough
I like the thickness and give the material has. However I feel that the net should be deeper. When trying to scoop larger fish it’s just not deep enough to get them in net properly. I use it for catfish and had trouble getting a 30 lb fish in it.

It's not a deep net
It was quite difficult to stretch the net on a 40" hoop. For smaller fish under 10 lbs it works, but you have to scoop the fish, can't bag it.

It’s good for fish under 5-10 lbs.
Seems cheap, but better than the string one that came with the net. It’s suited for round nets rather than triangular. I used zip ties to fasten it.

Works great!
The rubber net fit my old net perfectly. Caught 2 fish on the weekend and I note the hook does not get caught in the rubber like it did when i had the old mesh. HAPPY FISHING!
