Alcorrect JoneR Voice Language Translator Device with Camera, 3.1-inch Touch Screen, Photo Translation, 45 Languages + 57 Accents Instant Two-Way Portable Translator, GO

This is a very portable and easy to operate tool to use for multiple languages, 49 languages available but not all have voice translation (15 languages do not have voice translation). Great for communicating basic everyday language, but you lose accuracy with more technical terms. I have used it for 7 languages thus far and was impressed with its utility. You must speak slow and in short sentences in order for the translator to pick up what is being said. I like the fact it has a currency exchange function which will be very helpful when I travel. Device works with wifi and hotspot from your phone.The camera translation is really slow in translating words and not that accurate, it is not dynamic like google translate. Being that this is my first translation device I am impressed but would like an upgrade with the following:- a male voice- more time to talk like google translate, the limitation on speaking into the microphone makes one have to rush in conversation, also you have to speak slowly so a lot less is being said making conversations somewhat mechanic oppose to natural- dynamic camera translation- more than Chinese to English offline for English speakers (French, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish should be included)- Longer battery life when not using the device

Well I had solid hopes for this device assisting me thru Italy but sadly it didnt. Fortunately I wasnt relying on this completely as I know a fair bit of Italian I was more, hoping to help broaden conversations beyond what I already know. The device does work well when paired to wifi but getting a wi fi password isnt always easy. I tried to connect to my wifes cell phone has it has a hotspot BUT you have to reconnect every dang time you want to use it and even then it was spotty at best maybe I needed to hold the phone under the translator and not be 5 feet away shesh. The device works great here in the US at my home where I know the password but in the real world its a dud. I wish I could recommend this for travel but I simply can not I even had several (3-4) friends of mine ask me how the translator worked and had to tell them "it didnt." Siri worked better for short words. I wish I could leave a better review but giving this a 2-2.5 rating. I will eagerly await for more offline languages in future updates and will update this review when I try the device in off line mode.

I travel a lot. Usually, language won't be a big barrier for me except when ordering food in foreign restaurants, I always have to make choices by looking at the menu pictures and many times I ordered the wrong thing... The coolest thing about this translator is that it can help you understand a menu almost immediately by taking a picture. I've tried several times, though sometimes there will be a few words translated incorrectly but it won't affect much. All in all, I'm very impressed with this function.

Compared with other translators at this price, this one has a larger touch screen, which makes it easier to use and read. I've tried translating English, Japanese, Spanish, and French. The translation is pretty fast and accurate. Although you need to have a good Wi-Fi connection and clear speech to get the most out of this device. Wish the translator could have more offline languages in addition to English – Chinese in the future. Looking forward to its software updates.

I bought this voice translator for my parents. They don’t understand English and this device helps a lot. It’s super easy to use and it translates pretty fast and accurate. ALL you need is WIFI or a hotspot. The menu translation function is really cool and I didn’t see that from those cellphone apps. I’d definitely recommend it!

I travel to China frequently for work. Though many phone translation apps are available, the Firewall and throttled mobile internet make them useless. Now I finally have a solution! Here are some thoughts:1) I found the tool very friendly to use with other people. You simple select the languages using the easy touch screen, and talk into the machine. I speak limited Mandarin, but was able to identify that the translation was accurate.2) Setting up the Machine was easy. The set-up was very intuitive for any smart-phone user. On top of that, connecting to the Wifi was very easy; keep in mind this device works on and offline.3) The battery life is wonderful. I have been using this for several days now, and I have yet to charge it.Overall, this is a great tool for someone who travels for work. I especially like it because I can now adventure off the beaten path and into areas where I will use this to order food and have experiences.

I say sixteen in English and it couldn't translate into Korean and there are many simple vocabularys it just couldn't recognize. I was very disappointed since the price was right for the word recognition by picture feature. I hope they get this fix soon.

The media could not be loaded.  I've tested English – Chinese translation and some other languages as well. It's very accurate. I was worried after ordering it because I saw someone saying it couldn't recognize many simple words. As far as I noticed, it's working great. But the translation buttons could be confusing because if you push the wrong button, the translation result will be very misleading. The seller followed up with an email including the detailed user manual which is very helpful. The photo translation function is also beyond my expectation. I'd recommend it.

The translation is not accurate, and it is not practical to use. I didn't try it at the beginning of my purchase. By the time I want to use it, I find it is completely useless. It is a huge waste of money.

Translator doesn't work.

追加レビュー。只今旅行中です。何度か別の翻訳機を持って旅行しましたが、みなさん!今回、この翻訳機を初めて使って、為替レート機能の便利さを痛感しました。ポーランド通貨100ズウォティと入力すると、設定しておけば、２種類の通貨で、表示されます。　2765.69円23.03　ユーロという具合です。誰がこの機能をつけようと考えたのでしょう！ありがとう!機を操作してみると、履歴は音声再生出来ない。履歴は消去できない。ようです。ダウンロードしたマニュアルを読んでも、履歴の音声再生や消去についての記述を見つけることが出来ません。目的の外国語の翻訳文と並んで、英語の翻訳文がつきます。例えば、『こんなもの、買うんじゃなかった』の‘もの’がどう翻訳されたか。‘staff’となった英文を見て、『こんな機械、買うんじゃなかった』と言い直して、英文の‘machine’を確認して、目的の外国語があらぬ訳をされていないことを、推測できます。これは本当に素晴らしい。

Wi-Fiルーターの目の前で操作してるのに電波が「非常に弱い」となり少し離れるとオフラインになってしまいます。ですのでスマホのテザリングでしか利用できません。オフラインでは何度言い直してもまず日本語を正しく聞き取れてないから翻訳が、無茶苦茶です。ゆっくり話しても駄目ですし正確にいう必要があるのでカツゼツが悪い人はほぼ正確に翻訳されませんのでオフラインでは使えません。無料のグーグルアプリはきちんと認識されるのになぜ本機は認識されないのか不思議です。オンラインだと言語はほぼ正確に認識されますので翻訳もスムーズです。値段が値段なのでもう少し使えて欲しいです。
