The envy of all my guests
Picture this: Sicily 1929. Ahem. Picture me, a person who only appreciates good music and had no experience in turntables other than being spoiled growing up with my mom's mega sound system from the 80s. I could hardly call myself an audiophile but I knew good sound when I heard it. I was gifted a Crosley Cruiser many years ago, and as anyone as unfortunate a recipient as me knows, those are terrible and unlistenable. (Is that a word?) Fast forward to disposable-income-yielding me on a still fairly modest budget. Anything over $200 at a time makes me break out in hives and second-guess my purchase. Especially something I know nothing about. Enter the Audio-technica you see before you. I read many reviews and did what I could to understand how a video of the audio could be helpful (it actually kind of is helpful). I knew one thing and one thing only: if it would surpass the quality of the Crosley Cruiser and give me some deep bass and a quality treble, that's about all I could ask with my limited knowledge. (I'm not ashamed of my ignorance.)I paired this with the Edifier bluetooth compatible bookshelf speakers I also found on amazon for about $99. Everyone who knows something says wired connection is better, but I quickly discovered how nice the speakers are to have bluetooth capabilities along with the player. This player already has a preamp built in so that saves money right there. For a beginner like me, I wouldn't know the quality difference there. This wonderful, sturdy system looks sleek in white and goes well with my midcentury Mad Men-set home, and all my visitors rave about it. Many of my friends haven't yet made the transition back to the good old days of vinyl and ask for the link frequently. It is a great pair. Setting up the wired system is foolproof. The needle is quality and can be replaced if and when it needs it. The only thing I regret about this purchase is the fact that it can't play 78s. I have a few of my grandmother's shellac records but when I discovered I'd have to buy a whole new needle at another hundred bucks I wasn't willing to pay that much for nostalgia that I didn't even earn.I love that this has a start and stop button, and stops when the album is finished. This means I can punch the start button with the back of my hand or knuckle when my hands are all messy from cooking in the kitchen, and I don't have to worry when I imbibe a little too much and leave the album playing to go upstairs.Living in a townhome I don't crank up the system all too much, and when I do I get rich sound. Quality is only as good as my records though, and it still makes some of my banged up .50 garage sale purchases sound better than they likely should. I love that the sturdy top keeps dust and dog hair out. It is perfect to use when I move furniture and have guests over to swing dance in the living room. I'm considering the exact same setup for my bedroom upstairs as well. I am the envy of all my friends and the luddite in me swells with joy when I use it. If you're looking to enter the wide world of vinyl, I say don't hesitate. This got me through the dark times of the covid shutdown, and continues to bring me joy.

Finally, no skipping! Beautiful sound quality.
The media could not be loaded. After going through two cheapy "suitcase" style record players (i.e. Crosleys...) I decided to take the plunge and "upgrade" to a more legit one that won't break the bank. The suitcase players would constantly skip and had crunchy/LQ sound, even when hooked up to an external speaker. It was nearly impossible for me to listen to the records I own without putting a penny or nickel on the tone arm, which is terrible treatment for the records. I spent so many hours researching and looking at dozens of players here on Amazon, and reading through the reviews. This was one of the only listings that didn't have any complaints of skipping. Upon recommendation of one of my friends, I chose to buy the LP60 and I'm sooooo happy!!!Set up was extremely simple. I love the start/stop automatic feature! The build of the player itself does feel a little flimsy because it's mostly plastic, but this is a lower level player so you get what you pay for I guess. I find myself being super gentle with it for this reason!I ordered it (supposedly) new from the seller "UNRIVALED." The shipping was lightning fast, it arrived in a day. The way it was packaged did not seem entirely "new" though. The box was a little dented and definitely seemed to be pre-opened, so that's a little sketchy. Regardless, the player works flawlessly! I listened through all of the records that used to notoriously skip on my old players and they played so smoothly and sounded great!! YAY! and I'm only using a UE Boom 2 Bluetooth speaker (connected via AUX.) I can't imagine how great it probably sounds hooked up to a proper sound system! If you're like me and reading through countless reviews right now, debating which quality player to buy for a low price - just go with this one!! :)

All-in-all fantastic record player for beginners.
I bought this turntable after having a Crosley Cruiser and hating every second of owning it. I wanted to get into vinyl but also have the simplicity of CD listening. After hours and hours of research, I bit the bullet on the LP60XBT. I am absolutely blown away by this turntable, and I completely recommend it for anyone who is new to vinyl or wants to get into the hobby of record collecting.Pros:-Sound Quality: The sound coming from this record player blows anything I've heard out of the water. I have a wide variety of music tastes and there isn't a record I own that I don't completely love listening to on this TT.-Ease of Use: The only way that I can explain how easy this was to setup is to say it's literally foolproof. You stretch the belt onto the mechanism, set your felt pad on it, and you're ready to go. Also, to play records, you literally just hit play! That's it!Cons:-Build Quality: This TT is built of plastic, which can feel quite cheap. The buttons are very cheap. However, at this price point, I'm not complaining much.-Bluetooth: The Bluetooth works and this is hardly a complaint, but the sound quality takes a BIT of a hit when you're connected. This isn't much of a con, but I'm nitpicking.Overall, I haven't been this happy about a purchase in a long time. Please, if you have the means, take a chance on this player. When connected to good speakers, you will love what you hear.P.S.: If you do not feel that you will use the Bluetooth functions, you can save some money and get the AT-LP60X. They're exactly the same besides the Bluetooth.
