There really isn't much to recommend here. The instructional information is pretty sparse and it is more like a web page or introductory article on clay. Everything in here can be found on the internet for free. Took about 15 minutes to read the whole thing . Go read any webpage on clay modeling and save your pennies for something else.

I was expecting a book.. but this was more like a pamphlet or brochure. I just told the person I gifted it to that it came with the clay set I also purchased. That was my bad on not researching the product better. The seller did everything right on their end. I received the order quickly, and it was technically what I ordered.. So this was just a bad decision on my part.

Terrible. Things in this book are those things you pretty much intuitively know... and I have NO artistic skill or experience. "know your clay" "enjoy the process" "if... you use kitchen items...maybe don't eat with the utensil after.." "you can invest in specialized tools." Just nothing. Waste of time and money. Remembering this author to avoid her if I order any other books.

Wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering this book. Essentially a book that has minimal information or illustrations. Not worth the cost and the information is basic and could have been attained free with search engines

No photos.

The book does very little more than list sculpting material one can suposedly find around,the house or garage and then goes on to describe tools one must buy. Very little is given to instructions on how to model. No examples of modeling project are included.

This must be a joke. Any five year old could have written this "book". There isn't one photo, or diagram. Just a few lists on tools and whatnot that a person should get to begin. Oh! Well thank you for pointing out the obvious! What would people have done without your help? Perhaps looked on the Internet or used common sense? Geez.DELETING!

Wow. Who would have thought there is so much to know about working with clay? This book covers it all--from the types of clay, to basic forms, to household tools, and to more advanced approaches. Clay--it’s not just for kids. It's fun for any age. The book is structured well and written well too. It’s a good resource for anyone wanting to get started with working with clay. Recommended.

I expected basic and that’s what it is. What I didn’t expect was for it to be such a thin book. Feel like I paid too much for information I could have got by googling

I thought I had downloaded a sample, but no, those 20 odd pages were the lot! I cannot imagine anyone actually learning anything from this leaflet.

If you are a complete novice you may learn something about different sculpting materials but.. no projects at all.
