Adscope 600 - Platinum Multifrequency Stethoscope - Metallic Ceil Blue

I have spent a frustratingly long period of time searching for a stethoscope I can rely on. I am hard of hearing in my left ear, and my right side isn’t doing so hot either. I struggle sometimes with obtaining just a simple blood pressure reading in a quiet setting—or at least I did before I tried this stethoscope! I work in the pre-hospital setting, with some of the noisiest, bounciest environments you can imagine. Lung sounds are a critical vital sign in this field, and now I can finally hear all of them. I’ve tried numerous styles of Littman and quite frankly, I’m totally unimpressed. Electronic stethoscopes are the bee’s knees, but way too pricey for me to justifiably purchase right now. When I tried a friend’s adscope, I was amazed. And I’m beyond happy with my decision to purchase this one. It’s gorgeous, for one. I receive compliments on the color all the time. It’d be difficult for someone to “mistake” it for their own. More importantly: I can hear absolutely everything. Every little crackle of fluid, every faint wheeze…I’m fairly certain I can hear the heart thinking about a beat before it actually beats. As others have mentioned, it is a bit heavier than other brands. It takes a little bit to adjust to how it feels around your neck, and how to position it so it doesn’t keep sliding off to the side. But even if it was twice as heavy, I’d still use it and love it just as much! I’ve lent it to coworkers to try out, and they’re blown away with the sound clarity. I’m telling you, this is the best scope on the market.

I love it! It works really, really well, and it’s beautiful. All my coworkers (doctors and nurses all) are jealous.

I am so impressed with this stethoscope and am so glad I purchased it. I am a volunteer EMT. I was looking for a better quality stethoscope to make it easier to hear blood pressures and lung sounds. The sound quality of this unit is excellent and very clear. I recently had the opportunity to do a side by side comparison with this Adscope 600 Platinum Series Cardiology Stethoscope and a "famous brand" Cardiology IV. The Adscope 600 was hands down much better. Sounds were louder, audio range seemed wider, the quality of sound was very clear, sounds were very distinct. The only downside that I see on it is the diaphragm is slightly heavier that most others. You quickly get used to it and it is not an issue for me. I definitely am glad that I purchased it.

Update…. I have had it for years and still satisfied!!! I will never buy a littmann again!!! O...M...G!!! I just got mine today. I have been a nurse for 15 years and have had several kinds of stethoscopes. I am however getting older and my hearing may not be what it used to be. So, I tried this one out on myself today with the bell placed on right atrium, I could hear loud and clear as well as my breath sounds AND BOWEL SOUNDS!!! A foot away from my bowels! Definitely get this!!!!! 100% satisfied!!!!

HI! I'm a RN on a step-down telemetry floor, and I believe this stethoscope has made me a better nurse. I was a former Littmann snob and owned a cardiology iii, I am a full ADC convert now. There were times with my Littmann I could barely hear anything at all but with the ADC I can here every sound crisply and clearly. With this stethoscope I frequently catch murmurs that have gone unnoticed by others. I would highly recommend this stethoscope to any medical professional.
