LennoxX8788 MERV 16 Filter

These are expensive, but you only have to change them once a year. Amazon gives the best price on these that we can find, so we have an entire year to scope out the best value. We’ve never had a furnace filter problem, and these seem to do the trick. Lennox definitely means quality when it comes to HVAC.

Best price on hard to find product that arrived very quickly!!

These filters work great and are less than half the price that my A/C service company charges for the same Lennox Filter. However, if you have a Pure Air system, I'd recommend that you spend $20 dollars more and get the Lennox X8795 or Lennox x8796 (if that one matches your system) Maintenance Kit which includes this $110 dollar filter, the two bulbs which cost $60 separately, and the titanium coded metallic filter which costs $90 separately. You can replace all three components of your pure air system for $130 dollars and still have spent half what the A/C guy would charge you for the filter alone. It is recommended these items be replaced annually, so I would do it at least once every 2 years, unless you have very heavy A/C usage or problems with dirt encroaching into your A/C system from the attic or garage. Then annually would be best.

These filters are well made and really do a great job of cleaning the air. I will use these exclusively.

check measurements before trying cheaper filter.In my Lennox furnace the slots for this filter hold the 4 3/8" thick filter nice and tight, but a replacement brand filter that is only 40% of the price is 4 7/8" thick and does not fit.

This keeps our house smoke free when the fires came through last year. We live in northern California and the smoke from fires is horrendous making it hard to breathe when outside. I buy this filter every year when it's time to service our HVAC system.

We have a Pure Air filter which with a lower Merv filter can catch everything except the smokey smell from fires. The Merv 16 filter on a pure air protects while house from Smokey smell. Amazon price 33% cheaper than buying from HVAC service provider.
