Lovely Decor in Filet Crochet

This is a nice introduction to filet crochet. The designs are fairly simple to execute; all are square, so no end-of-row increases/decreases to mess with. They're all about the same size, too: in size 10 crochet cotton, they end up around 16" square. Nothing terribly elegant, most of the designs are fairly "coloring book" in style -- a cactus, house, butterfly, lighthouse, a rose, etc. There are clear instructions that explain the meaning of the symbols in the charts, and the written instructions explain how to work a chart top to bottom (or bottom to top). I'd say these would be perfect for an advanced beginner to thread crochet, but would likely be a bit of a challenge to someone with not much experience.If you're looking for elegant artistic filet designs, this probably won't work for you. But if you're interested in trying filet and want a fairly easy pattern to help you "get your feet wet," this would probably work nicely.

The book was in excellent shape when I received it. It is a nice addition to my collection of filet crochet patterns. The graphs are large enough to see them easily as you crochet.

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve made the Rose, and am starting on the piano keyboard. Simple, but enjoyable.

This book was my introduction to filet crochet and I love it! I have made 2 of the pieces and have bought thread to make two more. Directions are very well explained and the designer has written out several rows to get you started before you transfer over to reading the chart. The designs are very pretty and the pieces are reasonably sized so you are not overwhelmed if you are new to filet crochet.

I have already made the cactus and and I am working on the little house now the patters are so easy to follow and it gives you both written and illustrated instructions. I AM SO HAPPY I BOUGHT THIS!!! I will be looking forward to future books from this company.

For anyone with any experience at all with filet crochet these were easy and fun pictures to do. I found them easy to carry with me when waiting in a doctor's office or on a train. I have made all but one of the designs already. I don't have a specific use for them but I like them very much.

I enjoyed this book very much. It taught my a couple of new stitches in Filet Crochet to use. It was easy to follow and can be use to alter or do my own patterns.

This booklet features cute designs and easy to read charts. I am anxious to create some of these designs. Worth buying.
