It says 100% mulberry silk on the tag, however I have strong doubts this is real silk: the fabric, although reasonably smooth, has a stiffness that it's not usually found in natural silk, and quite an artificial synthetic feeling to it.I purchased a large size, and even if on the tag it says XXL, the size is actually what's expected for a Large. The style is what disappointed me the most: there is way too much fabric on the front, giving it a baggy, empty-pocket look. The elastic on the hips and waist is stiff and curls a lot, giving it that baggy look I mentioned above. Lastly, the inner side in direct contact with the intimate parts is not lined with cotton, the intimate area is in contact with this synthetic feeling material.All in all not a great buy, there must be prettiest looking and more functional silky thongs out there.

Please be sure to hand-wash. I put it in my washing machine in a laundry bag. Sadly that is not enough. They became listless, baggy, and threads started to fray.
