High Quality!!
As someone that has headbands and socks made from bamboo, I can say the outside is definitely bamboo. Though most of the material doesn’t actually touch your skin I just love the feel. The band also being bamboo is quite nice. I only own bamboo headbands now because every headband prior gave me a headache in an hour or less. Bamboo is known for fitting but not constricting. The socks are typically marketed toward people whom are susceptible to indents from socks but they do not slide down. I am only 5-4 and have a medium to small head and this band fits snug but not uncomfortable. For the people noting it being too tight, it needs to be. Bamboo is also known for loosening when repeatedly stretched. Washing my headbands puts them back into shape, though this can’t be done with the cap. Since I wear an eye mask at night, if the cap loosens, my mask will keep it in place.I am not a person whom can afford silk, but I was gifted a used silk dress by a friend. I can attest to the authenticity of the silk claim. Though I know it’s silk, the fact the company adds a test piece so everyone can be sure is beyond awesome!I did see one complaint regarding price. A silk/bamboo cap was never going to cost $6.99. If it had, I wouldn’t have purchased because it would obviously be polyester, not silk. For reference, SILKE, a very well known London based company makes 100% silk caps and charge $62.91 for them. Though this cap has bamboo on the outside, my headbands cost $14.95. A price of $25 is more than reasonable for the materials used.*update*After using this cap nightly for over a month I can say the bamboo band has loosened as I expected. I still use either my sleep mask or headband to keep it in place. Being that the headband is also bamboo and very breathable, I have had no overheating issues. I am very sensitive to the heat, especially July/August heat. I have woken hot from the covers but with this cap and headband my head was cool. Although it is clear without my additions the cap would slip off, I still prefer it. The only other choice is a cap with an elastic band sewn in. Elastic band sizing is tough, usually it would be too tight and gives me the headache I dread and the only way to loosen it would also rip stitching. The second issue is elastic is NOT breathable. Even a small strip of it would cause my forehead to sweat. Because the material around the band needs to be cinched to allow for stretch, a constant itchy feeling is also possible. My final comment is in reference to the price review. I realized the person whom thought it was 6.99 was looking at the price for 2 silk scrunchies. They seem to be about the same size as the large Slipsilk brand sold by Sephora. Since their cost is 39.00 for just 3, I’d say what this company charges for both products is fantastic! They even give a discount if you buy the set.

Worth the purchase
This item was a game changer for my hair! I have very fine/thin hair and no matter what product I used my hair never felt quite right when I would wake up in the morning even with showering the night before. Once I started using this item I would wake up to nice soft smooth hair! I definitely recommend it. Very comfortable to sleep in and not restricting in any way. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the fabric did stretch a small amount after multiple uses, I wish it was a little more snug to help with it not moving as much at night. Overall a great purchase ❤️❤️❤️

Tight on head
Elastic was a very wide band that was way too tight. Area for hair was long and smushed my hair during the night so the hair near my forehead was all matted down by the morning. I liked the quality of the material, but fit just didn't work. A more narrow elastic band, and one with a bit more stretch woudl be better. Then, making the hair area wider would help.

Cozy -- changed my coarse, curly hair for the better!
This has truly changed the appearance and feel of my hair, and it's comfortable to wear to bed, too. It's also not too unattractive, to the point where I'm not embarrassed to be seen with my hair tucked up in it. It just looks like a soft cotton beanie.I wear this cap to bed each night to soften up my hair, which is normally coarse and wavy. Wearing the cap has helped my natural curls come back to life--especially if I wear it to bed with my hair slightly damp.It also helps with oil treatments (I brush jojoba oil through my hair about once a week after washing). The cap seals in the oil so my hair can absorb it rather than my pillowcase, and it helps keep my skin from getting exposed to the oil unnecessarily. An added bonus: The cap is just big enough to pull over your eyes if you need to block out the light to fall asleep!

Doesn’t stay on...
Initially, I loved it as an option to protect my hair that didn’t require pressure on my hairline. But after a few weeks, what was a loose fit has stretched to the point where it slides off my head while sleeping (& I’m not a tossed/turner). So it’s pretty useless because it doesn’t stay on my head. And I have a “large” head/lots of thick hair.

Worthless...
It doesn't matter what materials it is made from if it won't stay on your head and protect your hair as you sleep. I've had mine a month. It has yet to stay on once. Has fallen off every night. And I don't toss and turn a lot when I sleep. Also, it's hot! I have silk pillowcases. It shouldn't be this hard to keep a silk sleep cap on. And any woman who's going though hot flashes, you're going to hate this thing. Let the young girls have it. I don't want it!

Made well, but thick.
I believe it is silk. No hair broke off my head. I use it to sleep in. However it does slide off easily during the night. I like the bamboo material, but it comes down too low. I have a large head and it’s a little tight.Update. I’m returning it. Because it’s too small, it keeps coming off and that does cause some hair to appear in the cap.

Really works!
wow! This makes a huge difference to how smooth my hair is! The only thing is getting used to sleeping in it. Love it!
