Fast USB drive
It's a small, sturdy flash drive in a metal case. I have a couple older Mushkins that I've had for 5 or 6 years now and they are still very fast and reliable.

Great Value
This thing is a beast! For the price it's difficult to beat. Great capacity for the money and speed is outstanding. The size is also perfect for me. No problems since I bought it several months ago and I use it every day for transporting some very large files back and forth to work. Highly recommended.

no better than my cheap PNY
Read speeds are okay, no better than my cheap PNY. Write speeds are deplorable. RMA'd the first one, hoping it was just a bad drive, but the second one they sent was just as bad. It's almost as if it thinks for a couple seconds between each file. File I attached was transferring 55GB of music, avg 8MB per file.Really disappointed. Was nearly twice the price of a regular 256GB flash drive, 1/5th the performance. Not buying from Mushkin again either.

Insane speed. I have managed to get 165MB/s writes which I believe is a limitation of my motherboard. Every other flash drive I've used has fluctuating speeds throughout a file copy. This thing is solid at 165 the entire time which leads me to believe it is a motherboard limitation. The size is small enough that it does not interfere with adjacent USB ports. I would definitely buy again.

Solid flash drive
One of the better 256 GB flash drives available at a reasonable price. Read/write speeds are fast and there is negligible heat generated after large downloads. Looking to purchase another.

Note: I have the 256 GB model. Benchmark screenshot attached. I've only had it for a day, so I'll update this if anything significant changes.Pros:- Very compact.- The cap fits very snugly, so no worries at all about losing it. The cap also snaps on the other end for when in use.- Performs very well when transferring large files. Writing a single 2.72 GB file took 11 seconds. Would probably have been faster, but the read speed on the source disk was being reached at that speed.- Has an activity light.Cons:- Performs very poorly when transferring small files. Writing a 1.72 GB folder containing 17,546 files took about 540 seconds.

Solid construction, great read speeds, reliable MLC NAND, but terrible write speeds & long-term controller reliability unknown
While this 256gb Impact by Mushkin isn't a bad drive, I am still hesitant to recommend it to others. The good points of this drive include a solid aluminum casing, the use of reliable MLC NAND (over inferior TLC NAND) (NAND being the flash memory that stores the data), outstanding read speeds, and an affordable price. BUT…this USB flash drive has poor write speeds. Most USB 3 drives struggle when it comes to smaller writes, and this problem is caused by the native USB 3 controllers. This particular drive uses a Phison controller, and this controller is known for having slower write speeds. Additionally, this controller has not been around long enough to say much about long term reliability...considering there are major differences in controller reliability, this is somewhat concerning (i.e., Marvell, Samsung, and Intel make outstanding controllers with a solid track record, where as SandForce controllers have had major problems with long-term reliability.)I bought this drive based on reviews using benchmarks, only to find that benchmarks really did not accurately predict how this drive would behave based on my own use. I purchase MLC flash drives and SD cards mainly for the reliability & endurance over TLC NAND, but MLC also tends to be quicker in real world speeds...but that was not the case here. How does this Impact by Mushkin 256gb drive compare to my other MLC drives? With a test file that was about 22gb size and had thousands of small files, hundreds of medium files, and about 30 large video files, it took the Mushkin about 20 minutes to complete the transfer. The MLC Samsung PRO+ 64gb microSD card did this transfer in under 6 minutes. My 128gb MLC Transcend USB flash drive did this transfer in about 13 minutes. The 128gb SanDisk Fit, which is a budget-based nano-sized flash drive, did the transfer in about 25 minutes. So my real world write speeds of the Impact is closer to budget drives than it is performance drives. With such a pronounced difference in write speeds, I think this drive is best matched to Buyers who do NOT mind slow write speeds. It is affordable; it has solid construction; and it's made from MLC NAND. However, as the Samsung PRO+ can write four times the speed of this 256gb Mushkin Impact (and when writing many small files, the Samsung PRO+ is closer to 10 times faster), that is a big productivity gain and may very well justify the higher price of the Samsung PRO+ (not to mention the fact that it uses Samsung's premium MLC NAND, which, having proven itself to be fast, reliable, and durable, has become an industry benchmark.) Given that, this drive may or may not suit your individual needs.NOTE--Bear in mind that the Impact model I tested is a 256gb size. Mushkin also offers the Impact in a 64gb and 128gb size. As with other flash memory devices, as the size decreases, the write speeds rapidly decrease with it. So these 64gb and 128gb Impact models are likely slower, and possibly dramatically slower. Should Mushkin release a 512gb Impact drive in the future, chances are it will have dramatically higher write speeds than the 256gb size Impact. YMMV.

Sauschnell

Tut was er soll.
Was soll man da noch viel schreiben.

costa poco e funziona senza scaldare
