BEST EASY Med Reminder!
I was REALLY leary about buying one of these - especially such a low priced model. This is SIMPLY THE BEST thing since sliced bread! I am a TT when it comes to gadgets and this was SO easy to program that I could do it all by little myself without having to ask my engineer husband for help;) I have to make sure that I take meds so they don't interfere with each other, food and supplements. This gadget makes keeping track of that SO easy. I just set it up once and I no longer have to think about what to take with what and when. It has kept perfect time so far and has never missed a beat. I even take the pillbox off and just put the timer in my pocket if I need to, which is SO convenient if I am out and about the ranch. The timer is just bulky enough to be pesky so I don't totally forget about the meds when I get back up to the house. The "missed pill" reminder is a godsend when I am too busy at work to remember if I actually took one or not! This wonderful gadget has given me peace of mind and the freedom of not having to worry about juggling my life with my meds. I would DEFINITELY buy this again!!

Amazon.com tried to tell me - I should have paid attention!
I had read the statement that said 'discontinued - alarm not working!"BUT, I have one identical that I've used for almost 3 years, and I love it, until the alarm mechanism was stuck on, and I couldn't shut it up! Anyway, this store had 2 in stock, and I thought, oh well, the one worked fine for quite awhile, I'll just go ahead and buy the two, and I'll have the other one on hand for the future - way out future!Wrong - neither of the 2 received alarms works correctly....One keeps losing time, and the other keeps losing power, which makes everything else off...the alarms, the time, and I miss taking my pills.I'll be looking for a new and improved replacement for all of them - very soon!

Exactly what I was looking for - only wish larger compartments
I bought this medication manager for my aging mother who struggles to remember to take her medications. I was excited and hopeful when I found this product as I had struggled to find a daily manager that had separate lids for each compartment. I also preferred the daily option since setting up a week's worth of medication overwhelms my mom. She is more efficient and focused to do one day at a time. This arrived quickly and luckily I was home visiting shortly thereafter to get it set up. Setup was simple. I did worry that I might break it when lifting the speaker to access the programming buttons yet it did not break. Just needed an extra oomph to open it.I programmed 3 of 6 available alarms. Some of the previous reviews mentioned not being able to program more than 4 but from what I scrolled through when setting up, I did not/would not have that problem as it gave me the option to setup all 6 alarms. One thing that it states in the instructions is that you have to set them up in order so if you try and skip the box 4 alarm and use one of the extra alarms, the extra alarms will not work. (Just my thoughts on why others may have struggled but I don't know for sure.)My mom happily reported that she has not forgotten her medications once since! It is setup to be the alarm and voice and she said that she can hear it throughout her apartment (a decent sized one bedroom). My only minor complaint is that I wish the compartments were just a little bigger. She is not able to fit all of her morning pills into a single compartment due to the large supplements her doctor has prescribed. This is not a huge issue since she just takes those first and never really needs to put them in. Actually I don't think that she uses the compartments at all but I am glad she has them in case she is gone for a longer stretch of the day that she can put them in there and take the alarm with her in her purse.I am EXTREMELY pleased with this product - it was exactly what I was looking for.

The all time best pill timer
My husband has Parkinson's disease. He has to take pills seven times a day, and he frequently forgets. but no more! We first found this timer at the Parkinson's Institute and we bought two at that time. What we value the most is the voice reminder. There are many buzzers, beepers and ringers around, but only "the voice" reminds him to take his meds. We call it his "pillbox wife" because she nags him three times to take his pills. We tried several others, but found this one to be the most durable, and least confusing of all the timers. It is pretty easy to set, and is loud enough to be heard from another room. The tough thing about Parkinson's is that things get dropped frequently. Unfortunately the timers eventually give out after frequent falls. I find they seem to last about 8 or 9 months before they need replacing. I still think it's the best one out there. If only it were a little tougher.........

medication reminder
This is the second time I purchased one of these items. The first lasted pretty good and I was pleased with its performance. This one the alarm is to soft and I am unable to hear it most of the time. I take my first pill at 7:30am and use to use the pill box as an alarm to wake me. There is no way that that can happen with this second one. I guess I just thought that they would all be the same.
