Calphalon Premier Stainless Steel 2.5-Quart Saucepan with Cover, Silver

I just received this pot so cannot comment on durability, but I've used it three times (1)making tofu (2) blanching vegetables (3) making vegetable broth. What I've found so far is that it heats evenly and quickly, Cleaning was a breeze. In response to those who complained about white spots remaining after washing, or a blue haze: this is a natural phenomenon common to all stainless steel pots. It is a function of the hardness of the water (mineral content) and the detergent used. It's easy to correct. After washing and rinsing, pour a small amount of white vinegar into the pot, add an equal amount of water. Let sit for an hour (depending on the hardness of your water more time may be needed). Use a soft scrubee or brush, rinse with plain tap water, and white spots will be gone.

This saucepan is really high quality. This is a great value for what you are getting. I cooked rice in it and it was easy to clean. Rice did not burn. I like the glass top too. As I mentioned before, the quality is outstanding.I washed this is the dishwasher and it came out looking great. There were no blemishes on it.NOTE: I like this so much I bought a extra one about a year later

Saw this on sale and decided to see what all the fuss is about. Wow, total game changer! It is beautiful, solid, and heats sauces so evenly. I will slowly be switching out all my old pots and pans for these premier stainless steel ones, and I expect them to last a long time!

The pan is very heave for its size but I don't mind. Just reminds me it will undoubtedly last the rest of my life. Very well made.

I really like this pan.it's a good weight and size.unlike some other reviews, I really like the glass lid. I often use this pan to pop corn (perfect size for 1/4 cup of kernels and 1 T coconut oil) and become the lid is clear you can watch it!

This pan gives great uniform heat distribution, whether on induction or gas stove. I'm pleased with the purchase price (well under fifty on sale).The handle stays nice and cool even when the pan is hot.The interior has a brushed texture which means a bit of sauce or food tends to stick to it. A smoother texture might have been better.The cover makes a few loud "tick" noises when warming up on the pan. This suggests it's under some thermal stress (I hope it doesn't break), and it's distracting. But the glass is quite thick so it's probably strong enough.

Got these after doing lots of research and I think they're the best you can find. With a bit of learning and the right technique they don't stick that much and you don't use a pot for sauteeing very often anyway. They will last a lifetime and the modern look is really elegant.

I like this pan because I tend to cook at the back of the stove. I am also 5' tall. It is as wide but not as tall as 3-4 qt saucepans. Some saucepans, even 2 qt pans, are taller. This pan also goes into the oven so I can finish off whatever I am cooking or even just keep it warm. Every pan we have has to go into the dishwasher so we will see how this works out when boiling water: I am not as picky as some. The handle and the lid handle do stay cool.
