Hello, Sugar!: Classic Southern Sweets

WOW!
Hello, Sugar! is a beautiful book. One can almost taste the delectable desserts just by looking at the photos. I first saw this lovely book by Beth Branch in a home goods boutique in North Carolina. I missed the opportunity to purchase the book while in the boutique, but was able to pick it up from Amazon - and so happy I did. I tried my first recipe almost immediately after getting the book. I tried the lemon-blueberry cornbread cake, which is the second recipe in the book. It came out just great. I didn't have the 9-inch cast iron pan called for, so I used a 9-inch tube pan instead. No problem. My friends enjoyed the cake this morning with our coffee. Beth's story in the book is very interesting. I am looking forward to trying more of her yummy desserts. While I am not a sugar-holic, and tend to bake bread more frequently than anything else, it is nice to make a special dessert, as Beth's story confirms. Enjoy!

The Texas Sheet Cake was fantastic and so easy to make
I've only had this book a few days, and I've already made something! The Texas Sheet Cake was fantastic and so easy to make. I didn't even dirty a mixer! Our guests raved about it. The photography in the book is beautiful and I can't wait to make more from this! Well worth it.

Modern twist on southern treats!
I love the modern twists on traditional southern treats! The Kentucky Butter Cake is so moist and delicious and the Hummingbird Cupcakes (really southern!) are over the moon! Can’t wait to try many more recipes out of this book.
