Solarrific W4001 Solar Flip/Flop Dancing Flower

If you are a Plants vs. Zombies fan, I think you can definitely relate to the coolness of this toy. I saw one of these in Tensuke Market in Elk Grove Village, IL and needed to get some for myself.WARNING:The solar cell is severely undersized. These do not work under florescent lighting unless they are about 5 inches from the tube. I don't have halogen or incandescent desk lighting in my office. So right now they are homeless since I don't have access to adequate light. I might have to design a power supply for them to work on my bookshelf where they were intended.

The flip flap that I saw in the wild that inspired this purchase was a bit different from this one. When in sunlight, this one shakes only the flower back and forth more quickly than the one I saw. Also the leaves do not move at all. So not bad, but not what I expected.

I ordered this as a gift and decided to open the package and check to make sure it worked. Im glad I did because it didnt. I heard something rattling around inside and decided to try to fix it because it wouldnt be cost effective to return it. It was very easy to open, just 4 small phillips head screws. Upon opening it up I saw the magnet on the flower's base had fallen off. That was the thing rattling around . I super glued it back on and now it works great!

it's lovely. But when the sun gets on it, it moves but makes noise as the flower tends to touch the leave to make ticking sound that could be annoying. I hope it's moving, but quietly.

it's really cute and a perfect office decoration.Either way I'd like it was made from a better quality material

Needs lots of sun for it to work. It looks very pretty though so I keep on display anyway even though it doesn't really "Flip/Flop".

When I received my dancing flower it did not work. I read the other review and thought mine was also disturbed during the shipping process. I originally had one that I purchased at a local convenience store. I called her my "lil girl" and she sat on the dash of my car. She was always flapping away and periodically swayed. Every time I looked at her she made me smile. My new one - doesn't do much at all. If she flaps, its for a short period of time. I guess she is not so happy! Really miss my old one.
