Update 5/27/2020Do not store these in a closet for several months as the batteries will no longer charge up. It seems the Ni-MH batteries require regular charge up/full discharge cycles in order to stay "healthy" and not develop the dreaded "battery memory" syndrome. Fortunately Ni-MH batteries are cheap, (read into that what you will), and are sold in packs of 12 for about ten to twelve dollars. Still, it's a shame a better power source isn't used for these lanterns.----------------------------------------------------9/27/2019I bought two of these to help with the illumination of my deck and thought these would work well on the deck table. They do, though they aren't quite as bright as I had hoped, but, they aren't overly bright and do give enough illumination that what is on the table is visible as well as those who are sitting around the table. The multi-color option nor the rotation feature have been used yet since neither appear to be particularly practical options for illuminating a tabletop. A problem I do have with these is the top section which contains the electronics.The O-ring around the inside of the top section slips, causing the whole top section to sit lopsided and, in that position, whether there is still enough of a seal to keep water and moisture out of the lantern's globe is unknown. As long as the electronics stay sealed I can clean out the globe(s) if need be.Other than that, these are nice looking lanterns, easy to operate, and they don't take up much space at all, wherever they're located.

**Update Two: Second winter in a row being stored properly and indoors and once again, my solar panel stopped working. This was a lovely piece but sadly ended up being a disappointing gift that my mom actually really enjoyed. Bummer. And now it is unavailable and I don't see if or where to buy the replacement lid.*Update: It only worked a short while before it stopped. If you run into issues, contact the company. They might be able to help you. I recieved a replacement piece and so far everything is as lovely as the first day my mom opened it.Gift for my mom. She loved it, only took her a few moments with my sister's help to figure it out. Already had some charge straight out of the box. She was thrilled to have a chance to see it working right away.

I purchased the lantern to hang on the edge of my brick patio.There is a white wall of the garage next to the location of where it is hanging on a shepard hook, and the pretty lights reflect off the walls amazingly! I am very happy with this lantern. It has performed admirally every single night throughout the summer. A little secret I will share is that the rotating LED light can be removed from the top of the lantern and set upside down ontop a table. If you do this underneath a white canopy, the rotating led's will project under the roof of the canopy, and create a disco ball effect. Wonderful during a tranquil summer evening.As you can tell, I love this lantern! 👍👍👍

I appreciate this every single day whether it's on or not. This thing is a great and inexpensive show stealer in my front yard when it gets dark, lighting up everything else with a soft swirling white glow! The multi color is dazzling and the option to spin or not is great

Love the overall look and the different light and color options. Unfortunately though after about a week it quit working. It remained on my (covered) patio in the same location that whole time so no damage or overexposure to explain why it suddenly stopped. Now most nights it doesn’t light up at all and if it does, it’s only for about 45 minutes and very dim then extinguishes completely. The top part with the solar light seems a bit cheap and flimsy so that may explain it?

Its really pretty and looks sturdy but it didn't turn on.😪I ordered two less expensive models and they lit right up. I have to return mine.🤨 I will let you know how it goes! - NOTE I bought three of these and returned two. I can't get one that WORKS! 2nt one came worked for like a minute...My son is keeping his because he think its looks neat, he didn't pay $25 on it, as it was a gift.BUMMER 😭

The media could not be loaded.  It looks awesome and has some weight to it , it is just the look I was looking for, now I wish there also was a larger one, it's very pretty outside day or night!

This is more for ambient lighting than anything, but that's why I like it. I have had it set in color changing mode because all my other solar lights are white, and it looks fun. This has held up remarkably well to a PA winter, it has been sitting on the deck since August and never fails to turn on at dusk. Love it!
