Explains how to hold the recorder, how to blow, how to move the fingers, how to move the tongue.I'm an intermediate/advanced student who missed the basics because of being self-taught. This fixes many of the problems I've come up against limiting my progress.

L'autore ha la rara capacità di saper cogliere e sintetizzare in poche pagine gli aspetti essenziali della propria disciplina.I progressi arrivano già dopo la lettura delle prime pagine, anche se l'autore si premura di avvertire lo studente che studiare il flauto è un lungo percorso.

As other reviews have said this is not really suitable for a beginner. I can read music so I thought this book would be suitable for me but it provides very, very few exercises for practising simple pieces.If you are a complete beginner I wouldn't recommend this book.It provides a detailed way of how to hold the recorder properly, which is useful for anyone not learning with a teacher. Also it gives clear guidance on how to play low f# and g# .

Metodo descrittivo riguardo tecnica, suono e molto altro.Ricco di esercizi e riflessioni ( non ci sono studi o brani veri e propri).

Brilliant book, the three volumes of this series should be on the shelf of any one seriously trying to master the Alto(in my humble beginners opinion!)
