My wife and I bought this lock because she is always misplacing her keys and has even locked herself out of the house a few times when she locked the door to walk the dog and forgot her key. It can also be a hassle to get the keys in order to get through the front door with a 1 year old. Plus we have other people living with us, so having the ability to share digital keys and generate a passcode that can be disabled at any time makes things a lot easier for us.When we setup the door lock it was actually pretty easy, the struggle we had was trying to put the colored wiring into its slot. The black side faces up, in case you’re wondering. We appreciate the fact that there are so many ways to get in. You have the actual key, the e-key, the passcode, and the fob! There shouldn’t be any excuses as to why you can’t get in except maybe the battery dying, but then again it will notify you that the battery needs to be changed. KEEP IN MIND, that plastic thing that just looks like an advertisement keychain is actually the FOB! I would have preferred they attach it with a keychain or maybe stick it to the manual because it almost got thrown out. What’s also a great feature is the auto lock sensor, because forgetting to lock the door is a thing here. I chose to just stick it to the wall, but screwing it into the wall is an option too. The light of the keypad is easy to see during the day and at night.For our door, we didn’t put the strike plate because for whatever reason the deadbolt just wouldn’t match up. We got a new door installed that had to be modified, but fortunately the deadbolt still works!Overall, it’s been a week and we just love this thing. We use the passcode feature more than anything and it just gives us a much needed sense of security.

I ordered two locks, and received the 'Blu' branded series, something to do with their anniversary I think, not sure.Installation was easy, the locks fit and worked well. App setup was easy and fair intuitive. The touch screen is only OK, it takes too long to wake from sleep when you try to use it, but otherwise functions as expected. The locks both functioned well and were a great convenience all around.Fast forward about 8 months, and one of the locks just refuses to accept my pin code or key fob. I did a hard reset per instructions, and things worked fine for about a day before the same happened again. Repeat steps, repeat result.I tried contacting customer support and got no response from repeated emails. Eventually someone gets back to me asking for a screenshot of the error message shown by the app, which seems to be unrelated to the problem I'm even experiencing? - so no help there. We reverted to using the keys supplied with the locks because we were busy and didn't have the energy to fight customer service anymore. About a month later my wife tries the lock again and it happens to work. The auto lock feature is still non-operational, but the keypad works just fine. We decided to just drop the matter and keep the locks.Fast forward again to last night, we popped out for a stroll in the evening and came home to the other of the two locks refusing our codes or fobs! Luckily our neighbor had one of our spare keys so we could get back inside.Tl/dr: always carry the actual key with you, these locks will fail on you for no reason.

This lock is sleek, easy to use, and overall pretty awesome....for a couple weeks. If it gets any rain on it, it will short out the unit and effectively kill it. Happened to me twice where it somehow had water get inside and stay there. It has a rubber gasket which should be capable of making it weatherproof considering it is made to be on an exterior door. Yet here I am with an expensive failure.After contacting them, they were responsive and great, sending me replacements quickly and without hassle. I modified the locks which I highly recommend.Take the interior part of the lock and drill a couple holes out at the bottom, ensuring moisture won't remain in the unit or short out the electronic hookups located near the bottom right hand side of the circuit board. That is the part that fails when moisture gets trapped inside.Cannot say it enough how great of a company they are and how really good the product itself is. This tiny mod is all you need to have the best lock out there.

The metal mounting plate was NOT a separate piece. It was attached to the inside unit with a permanent metal pin. So instructions were innacurrate and was near impossible to install. Unable to add the automatic lock mechanism because you can’t get it plugged in with the plate in the way. Not happy. Got the rest to work, but the auto lock is needed with kids, as they rush out and forget to lock it! Old digital lock auto locked without a separate attachment, so that is what they are used to. If not for the mounting plate issue, I would have given 5 stars.

Lock worked as expected. Had to modify my door. Would've been nice if they had a template that I could've printed to check measurements. Also had hopes that it would work with my Echo Plus, but it does not, it requires a separate gateway. Had I read it a little better, I wouldn't have purchased this lock

I really like that I can control my lock installed in my vacation home out of the country.Easy to create temporary passcodes for maintenance people. Plus it looks great.I really recommend this lock.I had it for a little bit over three months now.The keyless/fob/bracelet is very nice and easy to use.

The wire connects auto lock sensor is so short and it is impossible to connect the sensor back to the lock.The installation is not too difficult if you have right tools.The lock cannot be controlled remote via WiFi without a gateway device. However the gateway device is not available for purchase.

So easy to install! Youtube video makes it easy! And love the app! Just bought another one for my back door!
